MovieNewsGuide.com:
Spin-offs seem to be the thing nowadays for reality stars, especially for Real Housewives divas. First off, “Vanderpump Rules” with the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (RHOBH) star Lisa Vanderpump. Secondly, Kenya Moore from “Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA) wrote, produced, directed and starred in her own sitcom “Life Twirls On.” NeNe Leakes from “RHOA” almost had one but rejected the offer. Now, the sex couple Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker confirmed their own. Read on to find out.
RealityTea.com reported the spin-off deal by the “RHOA” couple, based on Burruss’ Instagram posts. Their family drama, “Meet the Tuckers” (does “Meet the Fockers” ring a bell?), is expected to show their complicated married life, bittersweet parenthood and struggles of establishing their own production business.
The couple’s married life became confusing because of their Mama drama, specifically the infamous fight between Mama Joyce Burruss and the late Sharon Tucker. The show would surely present the hardships of Todd while recuperating from his mother’s death.RELATED: Kandi Burruss Slams NeNe Leakes' Behavior in Therapy
It is pointed out on RealityTea.com how strange it was that Kandi seemed to be distant from the other Housewives’ recent issues. In the latest episodes, Kandi appeared to be more focused on her family and marriage counseling with Todd. It was probably a warm-up for their spin-off.
According to StraightFromTheA, the nonstop conflicts between the couple regarding their finances, relationship, Mama drama and attempt for another baby led to Bravo’s trust in offering them their own show.
Kandi posted on Instagram some photos of her flawless headshot (she really looked amazing!) and her family’s vacation. The headshot was taken from an interview (confessional, maybe?) while the vacation would possibly be featured in the spin-off.
The official cast for “Meet the Tuckers” is Mama Joyce, the couple’s daughters namely Riley and Kaela and some crazy hilarious extended family members such as Kandi’s “The Old Lady Gang” aunts.
It is reported that Bravo airs three episodes on Sundays in summer 2015 and continues the season if the ratings are high. However, the couple’s co-star Moore and her “Life Twirls On” spin-off kept on having publicities but no specific schedule yet. On the other hand, ex-Housewife Kim Zolciak’s “Don’t Be Tardy” is obviously successful because of its return in July 2015.
Boring. Bravo is just giving shows tocany housewive these days. They aren't really thay interesting. Didn't they learn anything from her flop " THE KANDI FACTORY? " There is logic behind my opinion.
