Kim Zolciak-Biermann Claims 'RHOA' Racism Comments Were Edited Out of Context

People.com:
Kim Zolciak-Biermann wants to set the record straight.

The reality TV star, who recently wrapped a return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, released a lengthy statement about comments she made during the three-part reunion show. After the reunion wrapped, Kim, her husband Kroy Biermann, reunion host and Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen and several others were in the bathroom for a candid conversation.

During the aired portions, Kim said, "This whole racism thing in this day and age is bulls—t. Everyone one of those motherf—kers on that couch owes this world a f—kin' apology for this racism s—t. They already tried to claim that s—t long ago, Sheree [Whitfield], as you know. Nobody really bought into it because social media wasn't there and racism wasn't all that f—king real. And you know it."
In her statement, released by publicist Jack Ketsoyan, Kim said the comments were edited out of context.

"During the last RHOA Reunion episode, I made a comment that confused and offended people. I sincerely apologize. Edited out of context, I understand why my remark angered people.

"Racism is a sad reality in the United States. It has been prevalent throughout our country's history. Let me be very clear, I do NOT support, tolerate or put up with any form of racism, hate or other discrimination. My love for ALL people runs deep—I am open to all and always have been," Kim said.
"I was heartbroken when I watched the last few minutes of the episode and saw how my words were taken out of context. My comment that seemingly 'racism didn't exist 10 years ago' was made as part of a larger, emotional 45-minute conversation about how, sadly, social media has become a hub for hate. Immediately following my confusing comment, I also said that 'it's not as real as it is now' referring to the power of social media. But those remarks didn't make the show.

"I believe that social media has made a centuries-old issue more real. Before social media, the public simply observed the news. Now, the public actively participates and has an opportunity to take action—in real time," she continued.

Kandi Burruss Scoffs at Kim Zolciak Leaving 'Real Housewives of Atlanta'

 TMZ.com:
Kandi Burruss doesn't think it's a big deal Kim Zolciak's done with "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" ... because she says her presence was hardly felt anyway.

We got Kandi at LAX Friday night and asked her about Kim telling us she's leaving 'RHOA' for good because it's too stressful. Kandi agrees it's demanding, but for a non-peach holder like Kim ... she's not offering any sympathy.

Kandi also tells us Kim wasn't getting along with any of the Housewives -- except maybe one -- so the ladies are fine with her farewell and more than ready to move on.

As for Kim and Kandi's Bravo spin-off ratings beef -- Burruss sets the record straight ... about how she was simply setting the record straight.

"Please file a lawsuit Chile! Like I'm begging you. You can never WIN when you play DIRTY so throw in the towel! I mean throw in the lips," she shared on the social media platform. "Anytime you wanna go to court, I'm happy to see you there because your lies have runneth over."

Kim Zolciak-Biermann is ready to say two important words: I'm sorry.

After tonight's tense Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, the Bravo star surprised some fans when she delivered an apology to cast member NeNe Leakes.

"I am so sorry for what has happened @neneleakes. We both know the truth, we both know that if I wanted to, I could have a law suit for the lies you have spewed, tweeting out fake texts, implying I am racist, attacking me physically, claiming my daughter tweeted negative about you and your home, we both know these are lies. I have reacted to it publicly and for that I am sorry," she wrote on Instagram Sunday evening. "I should have risen above it."

NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak-Biermann Finally Come Face-to-Face at 'RHOA' Season 10 Reunion

BravoTV.com:
NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak-Biermann have provided so many unforgettable moments during The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunions over the years. Need we remind you of "Close your legs to married men"? Well, this season will definitely be no exception.

After all of the tension that has boiled up between them in Season 10 of RHOA, especially Roachgate, the two Georgia Peaches will finally come (literally) face-to-face to hash out their issues at this season's reunion. And as you can see from the sneak peek of the reunion above, it should go about as well as any of us expected.

Cynthia Bailey teased NeNe and Kim's confrontation at the reunion during a recent interview with Us Weekly. “Kim tried to tear her down. It got so crazy!" she shared. “I’d be shocked to see them become friends again.”

That's not the only drama we'll see when the three-part RHOA reunion kicks off on Sunday, April 8 at 8/7c. And it looks like it's enough to cause Eva Marcille to have her baby right there and then. "I need them to calm down so I do not have a reunion baby," Eva joked.

Kim Zolciak Responds to NeNe Leakes' Accusations Following Roachgate

BravoTV.com:
Roachgate was reignited during Sunday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. And believe it or not, things got even more heated between Kim Zolciak-Biermann and NeNe Leakes — and we didn't even think that was possible.

NeNe accused Kim of being racially insensitive after she sent that text message featuring the video of bugs in her bathroom taken by Kim's daughter, Brielle Biermann, while the ladies were vacationing in Barcelona. "It sounds very racial when you are speaking to an African-American person and talk about roaches because people feel like you're associating that with the ghetto or trash," NeNe said during the episode.

Kim addressed NeNe's comments when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Sunday night (clip above). "I'm definitely not racist. I don't associate roach, whatever, spider, whatever, just in my mind. So I've heard it from several people. I hear you. That's not wherever my head has ever been at," Kim said.
