Sources Say Bethenny Frankel’s Media Obsession To Blame For School Snub

PageSix.com:
Squabbling former spouses Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have both blamed each other’s embarrassing antics for preventing their daughter Bryn from getting into the elite Manhattan Friends Seminary Day School.

Frankel — who’s still battling her ex over custody — sniped in an e-mail to Hoppy that they’d been shunned by the private Gramercy school in 2015 because “of your cousin being incarcerated as a pedophile, your uncle’s overdose or your cousin’s identity theft.”

The details of the nasty exchange were just revealed in court.

But we’re told other parents who have been doing the school run with the “Real Housewife” at her daughter’s preschool — and suffered years of Frankel’s fame game, battling swarms of snappers — believe Frankel’s media-attention-grabbing is to blame for the elite school snub.

Sources say those parents had asked prospective nursery schools — including Friends Seminary — what “their policy on paparazzi is” in the hopes of peace and privacy for their kids.

Luann de Lesseps Begged Bethenny Frankel's Boyfriend Dennies Shields for $6M Before Second Intervention

PopCulture.com:
Luann de Lesseps was in over her head trying to buy a $6 million mansion before the Real Housewives of New York City star's friends staged a second intervention.

In Wednesday's all-new episode of the Bravo series, de Lesseps met up with Housewives Bethenny Frankel and Sonja Morgan, new "friend of" Barbara Kavovit and another close friend to thank them for convincing her to return to rehab in July 2018.

While the former Countess had previously been sober for a few months following her first court-mandated stay in rehab, predicated by her 2017 Christmas Eve arrest, a legal dispute with her children about the ability to sell a home sent her into a tailspin.

"I had been sober for months, and gradually I had a glass of wine here, a glass of wine there, and then having this lawsuit with my kids was the straw that broke the camel's back," she confessed. "I polished off two bottles of Rosé and that still wasn't enough."

It wasn't long before her friends realized something was up when she began begging them for $6 million to buy an 8,000-square-foot mansion in upstate New York, Kavovit revealed, asking, "Who does that?"

"That night on intervention weekend, there was an emergency," Frankel added. "Luann had been making a lot of irrational financial decisions. Then she got mad at me, because she was telling everyone, 'Oh Bethenny is a bad person, she won't give me $6 million for this house.'"

Bethenny Frankel Breaks Down on Stand Describing Alleged Abuse from Ex

PageSix.com:
Bethenny Frankel burst into tears as she testified on Wednesday about enduring her “increasingly abusive and hostile” ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, who allegedly once threatened, “I’m going to ruin your life.”

The “Real Housewives of New York City” star took the witness stand to detail Hoppy’s behavior in the former couple’s acrimonious custody battle over their 8-year-old daughter, Bryn.

“’If you leave me, you are dead to me. I want nothing to do with you,’” the 48-year-old mom said Hoppy once told her. “He said, ‘This is war, I’m going to destroy you, I’m going to ruin your life.’”

Frankel began sobbing and hyperventilating as she recalled the “outward mayhem” in the Hudson Street apartment she still shared with Hoppy after she filed for divorce.

“He would be reading children’s stories and say, ‘Mommy would be a great witch,’” Frankel said through tears on the third day of the custody hearing in Manhattan Supreme Court.

The Real Housewives of New York City star, 55, opened up about her costar Bethenny Frankel’s new relationship with real estate developer and film producer Paul Bernon, saying she couldn’t be happier for her friend.

“I’m very excited that she has someone to hold hands with,” she told PEOPLE while discussing her new partnership with CoolSculpting.

In September, multiple sources told PEOPLE that Frankel is in a relationship with Bernon.

They made their Instagram debut as a couple last month while celebrating Christmas together in the Dominican Republic.

Frankel, 48, shared two photos of herself with Bernon. “Bye bye Dominican Republic. What a beautiful country of people,” she captioned the image, adding the hashtag #healingretreat.

Kelly Bensimon Is Now an Empty Nester

BravoTV.com:
Kelly Killoren Bensimon's daughter Sea has started her second year of college and now her youngest daughter Teddy is off to college too, which leaves The Real Housewives of New York City alum (and new real estate agent) back at home with their dog, Fluffy.

"Empty nester vibes," Kelly posted on Twitter. "First night without my kids at home..."

That's a completely common parental sentiment, and it's often accompanied by a river of tears and sad emotions, but since Kelly accompanied it with a photo of herself beaming in a bikini (click here to see), she seems to be rather okay with the new normal.

Kelly has been anticipating the empty nest for a while now. She told New York Post in February 2018 that "it’s off to the races” when it comes to her dating life once both her daughters are out of the house. She even teased her potential online dating profile: “I’m an empty nester and I’m ready to do almost anything!”

Vicki Gunvalson Slams Ramona Singer's Claim That 'RHONY' Put 'Housewives' on the Map

TooFab.com:
Facts are facts: "Real Housewives of Orange County" star Vicki Gunvalson is the original Housewife of the original franchise, but "Real Housewives of New York" OG cast member Ramona Singer feels she and her show are responsible for putting "Bravo on the map."

Being the pot-stirrer that he is, Andy Cohen asked Vicki about her thoughts on Ramona's jab when the "RHOC" star stopped by "Watch What Happens Live" Monday night.

"Oh, no she just didn't! I gotta adjust my crown. Oh, no she just didn't! Sorry. I started it 14 years ago," Vicki said as the audience cheered. "My show."

Last week, Vicki's co-star, Kelly Dodd, told Andy that she had hung out with Ramona the night before her appearance on "WWHL."

"I said, 'Orange County started the whole franchise,'" Kelly explained. "And she said, 'No, it didn't. New York did.' She was adamant about it! She said we were going under and that she started it on the map and that everyone else sucked."

"She's wrong! Orange County started it all," Andy said, agreeing to call up Ramona right then and there to set the record straight.

When Andy brought up the point of contention, Ramona said, "No, I said we put Bravo on the map. No one knew about Orange County. New York City put everything on the map. In fact, you know who told me that? It was our second season, and his name was Bond. Like James Bond. He said, 'Thank you for the Housewives show.' We put Bravo on the map! Housewives of New York City, okay? That's what he told me! He was like the head person. Somebody Bond. Like James Bond."

Judge Accuses Bethenny Frankel’s Ex-Husband Jason Hoppy of Exploiting Dennis Shields’ Death

PageSix.com:
The Manhattan judge overseeing “Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel’s bitter custody battle accused her ex-husband of “exploiting” the tragic death of the TV personality’s boyfriend.

Jason Hoppy had asked Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Michael Katz to order drug testing for Frankel after her boyfriend Dennis Shields died of a suspected drug overdose in August.

“There was a tragedy which I think you’re trying to exploit to embarrass Ms. Frankel,” Katz lectured Hoppy in denying the request for drug testing.

Hoppy’s lawyer, Robert Wallack, had argued that in addition to Shields’ death, Frankel had “posted a video of herself on Instagram where she was clearly intoxicated and slurring her speech” last week.

She also “appeared on TV passed out from mixing alcohol with Ambien,” Wallack said, referring to “Holidazed and Confused,” the May 30 episode of Frankel’s Bravo show, Wallack said.

“If this is what she’s putting out in public, we don’t know what she’s doing in private,” Wallack said.

Frankel’s attorney, Allan Mayefsky, insisted his client didn’t have a substance abuse problem.

“She’s on television, she’s entertaining. It’s her livelihood to say, ‘I’m out with friends having a good time,’” Mayefsky said.

The judge expressed skepticism about the timing of Hoppy’s drug testing demand, which he made only after the judge granted Frankel’s request for a custody trial.

Bethenny Frankel Says Late Boyfriend Dennis Shields' Spirit Is Still With Her

EOnline.com:
It's been just over a month since Dennis Shields passed away. However, Bethenny Frankel knows his spirit lives on.

The Real Housewives of New York City star remembered her late on-again, off-again beau on Wednesday while hosting the launch of her Skinnygirl Jeans collection at Macy's in New York.

"This has been a very, very difficult summer, and I think it's amazing how strong we actually are and the things that we can actually handle," she told E! News. "I mean, time does heal most wounds. I'm still in it, but Dennis was such a lover of me as a businesswoman and he got so excited to hear about the numbers, and the sales and the details."

In fact, Frankel said Shields would be monitoring the sold-out items if he were still here today.

"He was a big cheerleader for me," she said. "So, he's here with me today."
