Real Housewives of Melbourne to Return for a Fourth Season, But Chyka Keebaugh Won't Be Back

DailyMail.com:
Real Housewives of Melbourne is reportedly making a comeback.

Sources tell The Herald Sun the reality TV show 'will definitely' be back for a fourth series next year.

Meanwhile, cast member Chyka Keebaugh has confirmed she will not return.

Chyka, 46, decided to quit RHOM to focus on her family, hospitality business and lifestyle brand.
She previously wrote on Instagram: 'Reality TV is a ride I have enjoyed it thoroughly, but that ride for me is now over.'

Chyka, nicknamed Switzerland on the show, also said leaving RHOM would make way for new opportunities.

'I have decided to close this door in order to make way for some exciting new opportunities within the lifestyle arena, for the "Chyka Home and Life" media brand.'
Despite her departure, Chyka has a positive attitude towards her former co-stars, saying earlier this year, 'My friendships made during the show won't change'.
'I'll look on with such pride as the girls film many more seasons full of drama, frocks and shocks
'I'll just have a little more time for my family and businesses,' she concluded.
In June, Gina Liano confirmed the show will 'definitely' be back, but didn't reveal which cast members would be returning.

Catching Up With the 'Real Housewives of Melbourne'

EOnline.com:

The Real Housewives of Melbourne is just the gift that keeps on giving. The international import (from Australia, naturally), is now in its third season on Bravo and man, it's just so absurd. It's almost unreal. And that is said with all due compliments.

Haven't been watching the (mis)adventures of your queens from Down Under—Gina Liano, Chyka Keebaugh, Gamble Breaux, Jackie Gillies, Janet Roach, Lydia Schiavello, Pettifleur Berenger and Susie McClean—it's OK. There's still time to rectify that. This is what you've been missing. Please keep in mind these stories are not made up. Or are they?

No, they're not made up. They are 100 percent scenes that happened in the show.

The Feet Bronzing

Gina bronzed her feet before going into a wildlife area in Dubai where she and some other women interacted with a sea lion. Why did she bronze her feet? Because the women were told they weren't allowed to wear shoes in. Gina is a woman who is ALWAYS in heels. She even wears heels on the beach—see Gamble's wedding for further proof. So yes, she put makeup on her feet before going to greet a sea lion.

While at Gamble's wedding venue, Gina went up to her room to watch herself on the premiere of Celebrity Apprentice and have birthday cake with her family. The other ladies stirred the pot, saying Gina hosted a party and was pulling guests away from Gamble's gathering. Gamble played right into their hands. But, soapbox time, wouldn't you want to watch yourself in your new show? Of course. It wasn't the actual wedding day or night. She attended Gamble's event. Let Gina live.

The Driver
One of Lydia's main storylines this year involved her housekeeper, Johanna, driving her around. Poor Johanna. Did she get an appearance fee this year? Hopefully a "friend of the Housewives" rate? Lydia trotted her out everywhere and the scenes where Lydia made Johanna drive her around were just…uncomfortable.

The Dog Portrait
Speaking of Lydia and absurd things, she also had a giant portrait painted of her beloved dog, the Greyhound Figaro. Pettifleur, the woman with two huge paintings of herself adorning her walls, thought this was absurd. Take that statement in. And that brings us to Pettifleur…

The Beach Tears
Pettifleur, Pettifleur, Pettifleur. Just…what is there to say? This is something that actually happened: All of the women just arrived in Dubai and were chilling poolside. Lydia and Pettifleur joined them after many were already settled in. The women greeted them and complimented Lydia on her dress.

In a confessional, Pettifleur pointed out that she had also arrived in a shear skirt showing half of her butt. "Give me some attention here," she said in her confessional. While with the other women, she leaned in and whispered this to Lydia: "Nothing against you, but just then no one made eye contact with me. It was all like hello hello hello to you. It was like I didn't even exit. F—king hurts. It really does. I'm pretty upset." She then proceeded to cry. Or attempt to cry so the ladies noticed her. "The whole attention was just like, ‘Hi…,'" she said. The other ladies apologized, but then in their confessionals were pretty much like, "Come on. This is absurd." Yes, Pettifleur cried because nobody was giving her attention. What a world… (You can view the madness for yourself here.)

Pettifleur also got upset over the following: Self-proclaimed psychic Jackie wouldn't "read" her to find where her son's missing birth certificate was, Jackie told her to butt out of her conversation with Lydia that was about their friendship and had nothing to do with Pettifleur, and her son not inviting her out on his date with his girlfriend after she bought him an extravagantly priced piano.

Gina Liano Forced To Quit 'Celebrity Apprentice' Due to Stomach Bug

2paragraphs.com:
In The Real Housewives of Melbourne episode ‘Bye Bye Byron,’ it's Gamble Breaux's big day. She asks her best friend Gina Liano to be the celebrant, to marry her and her fiance, Dr. Rick Wolfe. Gina agrees but the night before the wedding she skips out of Gamble's party in order to watch herself on another reality TV show, Celebrity Apprentice.

When grilled by Chyka Keebaugh and Janet Roach, Gina at first says she didn't leave the party to watch herself on TV but to celebrate the birthday of her son Miles, in her hotel room, where the TV was on. "Even if I did," says Gina, what business is it of Chyka and Janet? Maybe Gina knew it was going to be one of her last episodes on Celebrity Apprentice. During the fourth episode, Gina was forced to quit Celebrity Apprentice due to a stomach bug for which she had to be hospitalized. The Real Housewives of Melbourne airs Fridays at 9pm on Bravo.

Real Housewives of Melbourne Still Not Approved for 4th Season

DailyMail.com:
The fourth season of Real Housewives Of Melbourne has yet to be announced, prompting rumours of a cancellation.

But the Australian reality TV show is nonetheless proving to be a success with audiences in the US.

RHOM posted its second highest ratings score ever in the States last Wednesday, and star Gina Liano took to Instagram to celebrate.

'Great news... RHOM new time slot and the ratings are up in the USA. Thanks Bravo xxx,' the 50-year-old barrister wrote.
She expressed her gratitude towards the fans, writing: 'Thanks to everyone who tuned in. Hope you enjoyed the madness.'

Meanwhile, RHOM fans from across North America paid tribute to Gina in the comments section.
On follower wrote: 'We want more More MORE RHOM!'

Another said: 'I watch you ladies every week here in NYC!'

'Melbourne has become my favorite (Real Housewives) franchise,' wrote a fan. 'You ladies manage to bring the drama AND the class!'

According to LA Late, the ratings spike was thanks to Gamble Breaux's drama-filled wedding to Dr. Rick Wolfe.

The episode featured the couple tying the knot in a lavish beachside ceremony in Byron Bay, New South Wales.

Over 60 guests attended the nuptials - including co-stars Janet Roach, Gina Liano, Pettifleur Berenger, Chyka Keebaugh, Jackie Gilles, and Lydia Schiavello.

Gina Liano Confirms She Will Return for Third Season of 'Real Housewives of Melbourne'

HeraldSun.com.au:
GINA Liano has confirmed she will be part of the next season of The Real Housewives Of Melbourne, but there is expected to be cast changes.

Liano, who was a judge in the Miss Universe competition, said she hopes for one or two new ladies.

Confidential is hearing that possibly two of the current cast — Pettifleur Berenger, Gamble Breaux, Lydia Schiavello, Chyka Keebaugh and Janet Roach — won’t be back in a full time role.

“I would very much like to see some new girls,” Liano said.

“I think we are here to entertain, it’s not a matter if I like or dislike someone, it’s really a matter of what is great for the audience.

“I think fresh blood is a good thing.”

Filming on the next series will start in July.

When asked about judging the Miss Universe competition, Liano had a little dig at Berenger — the pair clashed this season on and off camera.

“I’m no longer a novice now, am I?” she said.

“I’m an expert.

“I’ll just ask Pettifleur, just call me Eddie, Eddie expert.”

The empire of Liano is building, she will have a second book out in the near future titled The Fearless Guide To Life, a unisex fragrance is in the works, as is a face cream range.

She also has filmed a pilot called Judge Gina, an announcement on that is expected soon.

Jackie Gillies, Janet Roach and Chyka Keebaugh on That Shocking 'RHOM' Finale

People.com:
Anyone who was under the illusion that this season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne had run out of drama before the finale had another thing coming on Thursday night.

After months of back-and-forth over rumors, not to mention plenty of nasty comments by resident villain Giana Liano, even cool-headed clairvoyant Jackie Gillies lost some of her shine-shine-shine.

Once Gillies arrived at this week's big event, a birthday party for season 2 newbie Pettifleur Berenger, she told PEOPLE she immediately felt her extra-powerful intuition tingling. What followed was, according to fellow Housewife Chyka Keebaugh, "very big drama that no one saw coming or expected."

The Set-Up

Though most Housewives events are wine-fueled showdowns, "I'd only had one drink," says Gillies, who spoke to PEOPLE along with pals Keebaugh and Janet Roach. "I said [to Janet], 'Something bad's going to happen tonight. I can feel it.' "
"She did," confirmed Roach. "She said, 'Psychically, I feel I need to keep my wits about me.' "

What followed was a literal bang-up argument that started with insults about Gillies' carer as a psychic, crested with Liano making "outrageous" insinuations about Gillies' and Roach's sobriety, and ended with Gillies chasing down Liano, rapping on a balcony door to draw her frenemy back in and ultimately, claims Gillies, getting caught up in a physical altercation that wasn't shown on screen.

Or, as Roach summed it up during the episode: "Gina is such a dirty fighter. She throws the bomb that Jackie and I have got dilated pupils and then run as fast as that fat, Spanx ass will let her go."

Unlike many other Housewives franchises's feuds, Melbourne's fight have typically been verbal – not physical – and Keebaugh says (perhaps optimistically): "I don't think it would ever get worse than [what happened in the finale]."

The Background

The dust-up had deeper layers than viewers saw because Liano, according to Gillies, "brought a person along ... to fully intimidate me. She brought this person along to say something to me, and so she ran outside, knowing that I wouldn't go after her. And I thought, 'No, no, no.' So I went after her, and she grabbed me. They don't actually show that. You only see me saying, 'Don't touch me.' That was probably my moment where I was like, 'I'm just done with this.' Because I did feel in a way unsafe. I did feel threatened."

It's a surprising move for Liano, a sharp-tongued lawyer who herself isn't easily intimidated, to shy away from conflict. Keebaugh attributed it to the fact that "Jackie rattles her cage."

She continued, "Gina knows that Jackie's got the support of us, and she doesn't know how to deal with it. So when she flies up and makes comments and Jackie says, 'That's not true,' she already knows that she's lost the battle because we all believe in Jax."

What's Next

But it's Gillies who'll be rattled at next week's reunion: "You see a side of Jackie you've never seen before," teased Roach.

"I get emotional," said Gillies, who cops to shedding more than a few tears over "something that happened in season 1 off camera and was swept under the carpet."

Janet Roach and Chyka Keebaugh Not Happy with Gina Liano's New Shoe Line

Bustle.com:
All heel broke loose on Thursday night’s The Real Housewives of Melbourne. (Nope. Not sorry that I dropped a corny pun right out the gate.) (And nope. Not sorry for that pun, either. Can’t stop, won’t stop.) Gina launched her high heel line, but the footwear debut did not go off without a hitch: The glamorous barrister named each pair of pumps after the other Melbourne Housewives… without asking. The other Melbourne Housewives were upset that Gina used their names without getting their permission. Gina was like, “Whatever! I do what I want” (I’m paraphrasing) (and by “paraphrasing,” I mean ”quoting Eric Cartman”).

But the drama did not stop there: Two of the Melbourne Housewives were upset about the shoes Gina chose to name after them. Janet and Chyka complained that their heels were “nana shoes,” and they suspected this was an intentional diss. Chyka was offended that Gina decided to name a pair of kitten heels after her, and Janet was offended her pair of kicks were closed-toe. When Janet confronted Gina about the Janet heels, Gina explained that the shoes happen to be fashion-forward:

I couldn’t check out the Gina Liano online shop fast enough. I would go so far as to say I scrambled to pull up my web browser. I had to see these “cutting edge” “nana shoes.” Gina showed off a bunch of pumps at her launch, but I didn’t see any that matched Chyka and Janet’s descriptions.
Let’s see Janet’s “nana shoes”:
Oh, wait. I’m pretty sure these pumps were on the show. I guess I just assumed Janet was talking about a different pair of shoes.

Grown women of any age can and should wear whatever shoes they want. If a woman in her 20s wants to wear high top Vans everywhere (me), that’s cool. If a woman in her 70s wants to rock a pair of glittery five-inch heels, that’s cool, too. Live your life, wear what feels right, et cetera.

That said, I’m curious if “nana shoes”/”grandma shoes” means something different in Australia, because the phrase “grandma shoe” brings to mind a very specific style of footwear. Those glittery five-inch pumps were a bit of a twist. It’d be like if someone said a man was wearing “dad jeans,” and the guy showed up in a pair of dark denim skinny jeans. But hey, I’m not mad at it.

Gina Liano Claims Cyber Stalker Is Destroying her reputation

HeraldSun.com:
REALITY TV star Gina Liano has prompted a police investigation after claiming a cyber stalker is hellbent on destroying her professional reputation.

The Real Housewives of Melbourne star said she became aware this week that someone had been posing as her online, creating three fake Google Plus pages to abuse fans and post comments that could damage her career.

The barrister and Cancer Council ambassador said the fake Gina had also made disparaging remarks about “taking down Eddie McGuire”, whom she had been working with on a Foxtel pilot series, tentatively called Judge Gina.

Ms Liano believes an old acquaintance with a history of violence and mental illness wants to “bring her down” because she is jealous of her new TV role.

She said the person appeared to be a staunch supporter of Andrea Moss — Ms Liano’s former co-star, whom she was famously embroiled in a bitter feud with last year — and may be acting out of misplaced loyalty to her.

Ms Liano said it seemed the stalker was trying to destroy her reputation so she was no longer a viable candidate to front Judge Gina, a series similar to the US show Judge Judy, in which Ms Liano would mediate real-life disputes.

Son of Lydia Schiavello Charged with Stalking Ex-Girlfriend

HeraldSun.com:
THE party-loving son of a Melbourne TV star has been charged with stalking and distributing intimate photos.

Lorenzo “Lozzy” Schiavello, 20, is the son of Real Housewives of Melbourne star and Melbourne ambassador to the Shane Warne Foundation, Lydia Schiavello.

The charges relate to incidents last year after the alleged victim made two separate complaints to Prahran police against the man who his mum calls “gentle giant”.

Schiavello’s Instagram account portrays a young man in love with life in the fast lane, with photos of luxury performance and street cars, “mad night drives”, girls, parties, nightclubs, expensive cocktails and fashion.

In one photo post Schiavello proclaims: “Relaxation is the key, so live the now as your past does not matter, you are in control.”

In another he is pictured at a photo shoot with his mother, and fellow Real Housewives star Gina Liano, wearing a T-shirt featuring a G-string clad woman’s buttocks being groped by Sesame Street’s cookie monster.

His mother tweeted the photo with the comment: “thankyou for wearing an appropriate tshirt son!”

On his 19th birthday Mrs Schiavello tweeted another photo of herself and her son with the caption: “Happy 19th son. Your (sic) my baby & the gentle giant. Xxxx”

The incidents occurred not long after Schiavello split with his girlfriend and began a relationship with a second woman.

The alleged victim first went to police when Schiavello posted intimate images of her on social media and again when he allegedly posted further non-intimate images of her in breach of an agreement not to do so.
Schiavello, who has been caught driving while suspended but has no prior convictions, is listed to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday (April 10) after being charged with stalking and distribution of an intimate image.

The separate charges were laid by a member of the Embona taskforce, which normally investigates armed robberies, and by a Prahran detective.

Jackie Gillies Talks New Ladies, New Fights in Season 2 of "Real Housewives of Melbourne"

People.com:
The Real Housewives of Melbourne has been upgraded.

After Bravo aired the reality series from Down Under on Sunday afternoons last year, season 2 moves to Thursday nights, and star Jackie Gillies promises, "There's drama, there's tears, there's arguments – happy moments, too. There's a lot of comedy this season, I will say."

But, let's be honest, we don't come to our Housewives for laughs, we come for the glass-throwing antics.

With two new cast members entering the fray (regular Andrea Moss exited after season 1), Gillies promises there will plenty of fresh strife. Here are the highlights:

One of Melbourne's most controversial figures in season 1 was Gina Liano, a heavily made up, foul-mouthed Housewife who never missed an opportunity to remind the ladies, "I'm a lawyer. I deal in fact."

"Gina and I definitely get into it this season," Gillies says. The previous bench mark? Liano accused Gillies, who is psychic, of talking to demons after Gillies insinuated Liano's long-term (now ex-) boyfriend was having an affair.

But that incident was on camera. As things heat up this season, Gillies says plenty of off-camera shadiness will occur: "What's frustrating to the other cast members is that Gina's not always herself on camera. She's very controlled."

She adds cryptically, "Sometimes when people are confronted with the truth, they don't know how to handle it."

When asked if Liano is a truth-teller, Gillies, responds, "Absolutely not."
