Siggy Flicker Talks Leaving 'RHONJ': 'I've Never Been So Happy With My Decision'

BuddyTV.com:
Siggy Flicker has no regrets about her decision to quit The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The professional matchmaker, who joined the Bravo reality series in season seven, announced she will not return after the current eighth season concludes.

"After much reflection and Bravo's support, I have decided that this will be my last season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey," Flicker said in a statement to Bravo's blog. "I am grateful to the network for allowing me to be part of this successful franchise and wish only the best for Teresa, Melissa, Dolores, Danielle and Margaret. At this time, I want to focus on my beautiful family, my growing business and some exciting new projects."

Flicker's decision to bid farewell to The Real Housewives of New Jersey doesn't really come as a surprise given her previous statements about her co-stars. Besides calling them "poison," she also painted herself as the outsider this season-- suggesting that everyone will turn against her.

Speaking to Radar, Flicker said, "I've never been so happy with my decision.'

"Everybody was stacked up against me," she explained. "I love Bravo and I love Andy Cohen but at the end of the day all the odds were stacked up against me and I chose my family."

Despite the turn of events, Flicker claims she doesn't regret joining RHONJ.
"I made the right decision and I would do it all over again," said Flicker, who also criticized the poor editing she got on the show. "I'm over the top, I'm loud, I'm full of life. I'm TV gold and I did not deserve to be treated the way I was treated."

Siggy Flicker Is Quitting 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'

TooFab.com:
After two seasons on the show, "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Siggy Flicker is peacing out.

The reality TV star announced the news on Friday morning, telling Bravo's Daily Dish blog, "After much reflection and Bravo’s support, I have decided that this will be my last season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. I am grateful to the network for allowing me to be part of this successful franchise and wish only the best for Teresa, Melissa, Dolores, Danielle and Margaret."

"At this time, I want to focus on my beautiful family, my growing business and some exciting new projects," she added.

"Looking back at the show I truly wanted to make a difference for Jersey and in Jersey and I realized that I had too many obstacles working against me and I couldn't do it," she added in a statement to Us Weekly. "I feel like I lost the battle but I won the war because at the end of the day, everyone's goal should be … to be happy."

The matchmaker first joined the series in Season 7 and, in recent episodes, has gotten into a few explosive arguments with newcomer Margaret Josephs. Flicker -- the only Jewish New Jersey Housewife -- accused Josephs of being anti-Semitic after making a comment about Hitler during an argument. Josephs attempted to make amends on Wednesday's episode, but it took some time for Flicker to come back around. Eventually, she admitted, "I don't believe Margaret is anti-Semitic, I believe that Margaret is anti-Siggy."

Margaret Josephs On How Joining The Real Housewives Changes Your Life

EOnline.com:
Margaret Josephs almost stepped into the spotlight on The Real Housewives of New Jersey a whole lot earlier in the Bravo hit's run than its current eighth season.

A fan of the show since its inception, in part, because it was highlighting women from her neck of the woods, the franchise's newest addition told E! News that she was contacted by producers about joining the fray way back when Caroline Manzo was spinning off onto her own series after season five. "[They] actually approached me in 2013, we were discussing it last night at dinner, and I couldn't do it that year," she revealed. "It just wasn't great timing." Considering that was the year she divorced first husband Jan Josephs for current hubby Joe Benigno, the hesitation is understandable. After all, allowing Bravo's cameras to capture your life, warts and all, for the world to see is one heck of a commitment.

But 2017 felt like the perfect time for the pigtail enthusiast to convince her family to let her document her life on national television, she told us. "Well, A. I've led many lives by the age of 50, and, at 50, I thought it was a great turning point. I've already had a business for a long time, all my kids are up and out of the house, and I thought this would just be a great opportunity to do something different," she explained. "The truth is, my whole life has been a reality series since birth, legit. You've seen Marge Sr. I thought it was just the next step in my career. I thought it would be fun. I thought it was great to show people that women could be entrepreneurial. I didn't come from the Lucky Sperm Club. I pulled myself up by the boot straps, I've taken a lot of hits, so I thought I was also very relatable. And Jersey could definitely use a blonde, so I thought it was a good idea."

With her mind made up, it was time to get her family on board, something she wasn't able to do with everyone in her life. "Because I'm so out there, and they call me TMI Marge, my whole family knows everything's out there. My husband Joe is very funny. Everybody just acts like themselves, the girls in my office, Marge Sr. They were super excited. Of course, my children, who are not on the show, were not excited," she said. (Margaret has one son, as well as three step-children whom she helped raise, from her first marriage.)

These Tweets Prove Margaret Josephs and Siggy Flicker's Drama Is Definitely Not Over

BravoTV.com:
It seemed as though whatever tension transpired between Siggy Flicker and Margaret Josephs earlier this season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey could be fixed with one good meal at the local diner. And it did seem as though Siggy and Margaret hashed things out over cheese fries and an omelette — until they reunited at the Gorgas' restaurant tasting in Wednesday night's episode of RHONJ, that is (clip above).

And the short lifespan of their so-called "diner truce" was something Margaret took note of as she live tweeted the episode. She also called Siggy out for not seeming to be able to move past their drama.

Margaret Josephs @MargaretJosephs
She doesn’t move forward about anything…hello? By the way, doesn’t anyone want some cake??? 👀

Margaret Josephs @MargaretJosephs
Isn’t the ability to one of the tenets of maturity & dignity? I think an expert on relationships is held to that same standard no??

Margaret clapped back at Siggy, saying that she felt like the RHONJ rookie stabbed her in the back. "Oh boy... I don’t stab people in the back, Siggy, I tell it to their face. (Or write it in my #blog)," Margaret tweeted. "Also, I don’t use weapons

Margaret was also not pleased to see Siggy stick her tongue out and playfully shimmy behind her as she exited the Gorgas' event.

Siggy explained her behavior during the dinner on Twitter. "When I'm constantly getting jabs thrown at me I'm not going to sit back and take it," she said.

Danielle Staub On Why She Thinks Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania Need a Table Flipped at Them

EOnline.com:
Danielle Staub got into her first true conflict during her triumphant return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey and it involved being called "scumbag" by Dolores Catania. Not once, but five times in a row, Danielle pointed out to us.

"I wanted to give her a thesaurus, to be honest with you," she told E! News.

This came after Danielle told Teresa Giudice that Dolores told her Teresa only cared about money, and then of course there's Cakegate with Siggy Flicker pissed at Teresa and Melissa Gorga over a playful cake food fight.

"I mean, clearly Siggy and Dolores need to have a table flipped at them to know the Cakegate isn't that big of a deal," Danielle cracked. "That's all I have to say on that one."
Filming done for the season and Danielle is still in contact with three women every day. "I've reached out several times to the other two. It's kind of met with silence," she said. And this time, she's ready for the reunion.

"I didn't prepare myself because I never watched the seasons when it was on, so I didn't know what was going to happen when I would sit down on the couch, and then stuff would happen, things would be said," she said. "I would watch a scene and I was literally watching the scenes for the first time."

"This one I'm going in armed and ready," Danielle promised.

Siggy Flicker Lashes Out at Margaret Josephs: 'She and Her Pigtails Can Go F--- Themselves'

People.com:
Siggy Flicker may have brought Margaret Josephs into her friend circle on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but if it were up to her on Wednesday night’s episode, she would have kicked Josephs out too.

Bravo’s newest Housewife was enemy no. 1 for Flicker on season 8’s all-new episode, after she threw a surprise memorial ceremony for Teresa Giudice‘s deceased mother during their cast trip to Boca Raton, Florida, without giving Flicker — who had unknowingly skipped the beach day outing thinking it was just a yoga trip — a heads-up first.

“I want to take and pull on those pigtails until they come out of her head,” Flicker told Giudice of Josephs, the self-described “Powerhouse in Pigtails.”

“I can’t stand the bitch,” said Flicker. “Every time I open up my mouth, she’s giving me another dagger. I hate the f—— bitch. …. Margaret and her pigtails can go f— themselves.”

As if that weren’t enough, Josephs had made fun of Flicker for getting upset with Giudice and Melissa Gorga after the two had a playful cake fight with the $1,000 custom birthday cake Flicker had bought for Gorga. “Why cry about a cake?” Josephs, 50, had wondered. “Siggy, better known as ‘Soggy Flicker’ with all the crying.”

“I’m angry and livid over Margaret,” Flicker, 50, said Wednesday. “She’s calling me ‘Soggy Flicker?’ … What’s her excuse for being mean?”

Siggy Flicker Admits She Was 'Wrong' For Calling 'RHONJ' Co-Stars 'Trashy' Over Cakegate

TooFab.com:
Siggy Flicker is blaming the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol.

The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star lost her marbles this season when Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga had a full-blown food fight in a restaurant with the very expensive, personalized birthday cake Siggy brought for Melissa.

"I was wrong -- I called them animals. I called them -- their act was trashy for doing it," Siggy explained to Andy Cohen on Wednesday's "Watch What Happens Live," adding that she had had more than two drinks that night and acted "in the heat of the moment."

"I'm very dramatic, I have a lot of energy and I get very excited," she added. "But for me, once the cake was thrown, it was over for me."

Sitting next to Flicker was Valerie Bertinelli, who interrupted the New Jersey firecracker to suggest that the ladies reimburse her for the cake.

"No, I just wanted them to say I'm sorry," Siggy replied. "I'll eat the cost. I don't care about that, but friendships and relationships are 50-50. It was more like this is the way we act."

What really bothered Siggy was that "nobody wanted to apologize."

"It was disrespectful to not only the cake maker, but it was disrespectful to the restaurant," she added.

Siggy Flicker Calls Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice 'Trash' After Messy & 'Embarrassing' RHONJ Cake Fight

People.com:
The season 8 premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey ended with sister-in-laws Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga having a playful cake fight while celebrating Gorga’s birthday at a fancy restaurant in Boca Raton, Florida. But not everyone was laughing.

On Wednesday’s all-new episode, fans got to see the fallout of #cakegate which culminated in an all-out screaming match between the Jersey Housewives.

On one side was Housewife Siggy Flicker — who has a home in Boca, planned the group trip, set up the special dinner at her friend’s restaurant, and purchased the $1,000 custom-designed cake for Gorga.

Appalled at Giudice and Gorga for causing a scene and throwing the beautiful dessert, Flicker got loud as she picked up the smashed pieces of the beautiful cake. “So f—— classy,” she said. “We’re going to have to explain to the restaurant that we’re from Jersey.”

“My IQ is a lot higher than these girls. Since you guys act like animals, I’m going to act like an animal too. You girls can go f— yourselves,” Flicker continued, telling pal Dolores Catania, “Next time you bring your friends to my f—— town, you better make sure they don’t act like this.”

Turns out those words really upset Gorga and Giudice, as well as new Housewife Margaret Josephs and friend of the Housewives Danielle Staub.

“We were playing, we were having a good time,” Gorga, 38, said the next day in her defense, with Giudice, 45, adding that a cake fight was “what you’re supposed to do when it’s somebody’s birthday.”

Siggy Flicker Spills on Season 8 Feud With Newcomer Margaret Josephs

TooFab.com:
"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" Season 8 premieres Wednesday night, and Siggy Flicker told TooFab that drama goes down "right off the bat."

Siggy said she was introduced to newcomer Margaret Josephs through a mutual friend before Margaret's start on the Bravo series, but things went south very quickly.

"Right off the bat, right out of the gate, I introduce somebody to the group and welcome this person with open arms," Siggy told TooFab. "My energy and my chemistry with this person does not work. That has been shown in the trailer."

The explosive Season 8 trailer shows Siggy yelling at Margaret from across the table. "You're one of the ugliest human beings in the world for making fun of me," she says in the tease of the heated argument.

In another scene, Siggy explains to veteran housewife Teresa Giudice during dinner that she wanted to "take [Margaret] and pull on those pigtails until they come out of her head."

Siggy Flicker Says She and Dolores Catania Take Things From "a Two to a 10 Plus" This Season

BravoTV.com:
Well it seems Danielle Staub isn't the only one mixing things up in Season 8 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Siggy Flicker, who will be coming back for her second season as a Real Housewife, says fans are about to see a different side of her.

"I am coming back. I couldn't resist," Siggy told The Daily Dish podcast. "There's something about the girls that I truly love. A lot of people are like, 'Why do you love Jersey so much?' Because I like to surround myself with people who love their families. You're talking about Teresa, Melissa, Dolores and myself. We love our children, we love our husbands, we love our families, we love our ex-husbands. Family is really, really important to us, and I love being with them. And I'm with them when the cameras are down."

But it won't be all love and light this season.

"It's going to be a very interesting season. And you're going to see a lot of different sides, especially from me and Dolores. This season we really feel more comfortable with our positions, and we really go for it. So we take it from like a two to a 10 plus."

Margaret Josephs Joins 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'

People.com:
A new blonde is being added to the group of brunettes who make up this season’s New Jersey Housewives!

When the eighth season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres in October, audiences will meet Housewife and businesswoman Margaret Josephs, who will join returning Housewives Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, and Siggy Flicker, as well as Danielle Staub, who appeared on seasons 1 and 2 of the Bravo reality series.

Here are five things to know about Josephs.

1. She’s a New Jersey native.
Josephs, 50, was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and moved to Tenafly, New Jersey, at the age of 24 to raise her three stepchildren with her first husband, Jan Josephs. Not long after tying the knot, the couple welcomed a child of their own — a son — before later divorcing. She then met the love of her life, a.k.a. “Super Joe” (a plumber and contractor); they eloped in 2013.

2. She graduated with a degree in fashion design.
If any of the Housewives need fashion advice, they can turn to Josephs — she has a degree in fashion design! Josephs graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in marketing and fashion design, and later went on to work as a dress designer in the heart of the New York Garment Center.

3. She’s a “powerhouse in pigtails.”
She may wear pigtails, but don’t mess with this blonde businesswoman! She’s earned the nickname of “powerhouse in pigtails” for good reason.

4. She’s the founder of her own company.
After earning her degree in marketing and fashion design, Josephs later went on to launch her own line of home accessories: Macbeth Collection by Margaret Josephs. Since launching, her company has grown into a lifestyle brand, covering fashion, beauty, tech and more.

5. You might have seen her on TV before.
She’s soon to star as one of the New Jersey Housewives, but Josephs has had her fair share of time in front of TV cameras — but in a far different capacity. As the founder of her own lifestyle brand, Josephs regularly utilizes her skills as a lifestyle expert on TV programs, where she shares her tips for organizing, accessorizing, and, of course, glamorizing.

Siggy Flicker Dishes on ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Season 8 Drama: ‘It’s Out of Control’

ChampagneandShade.com:
Get ready for one of the most dramatic seasons of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. At least that’s what Siggy Flicker says about the craziness that transpired when the New Jersey housewives filmed season 8.

Siggy leaked some juicy details about the upcoming season and we can’t wait to watch it play out. Although Bravo has yet to confirm the premiere date, the Real Housewives of New Jersey is expected to return in October. Here’s what we know so far about some of the drama that may rival Teresa Giudice’s table-flipping moment.

‘Everyone is horrible’

Yikes. It sure doesn’t sound like there’s going to be a lot of love between the Housewives this season. We’re already thinking about what will happen at the reunion … but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Siggy Flicker recently talked to TMZ about the drama that transpired while filming RHONJ season 8. And yes, she said, “everyone is horrible.” And that includes Teresa, Melissa, newcomer Margaret Josephs, and the rest of the cast.

Drama in Boca

The ladies’ trip to Florida isn’t a relaxing one. The trip was taped back in February but Siggy remembers it well. Shortly after Teresa’s mother passed away, Siggy traveled to Boca Raton with Melissa, Teresa, and Margaret.

Enjoying some time in the sun and celebrating Melissa’s birthday were on the to-do list, but that didn’t work out. Siggy tells TMZ that things go out of control.

Fans will have to wait to see it all play out on TV, but the drama in Boca is said to be a close second to Teresa’s table-flipping incident.

Siggy Flicker is back! After a week of serving as guest editor for Ex-Files Week, the relationship expert confirmed she'll be returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for Season 8.
"I'm not going to say that this season we get along about everything. We do have our ups and down, just like any authentic friendship. We fight, we make up, but at the end of the day, I love being with them."
