Jacqueline Laurita On Why She Isn’t Returning to ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’

Jacqueline Laurita wants to speak for herself. The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum took to Twitter to clarify reports about why she isn’t returning to the Bravo reality series.

“I was asked by an executive producer what it would take for me to come back to #RHONJ…I said full time and a whole new cast. Lol! (Dolores [Catania] can stay.) I don’t like the direction it’s going in anymore,” Laurita, 47, tweeted on Tuesday, March 27. “I’m a very positive person & I’m very happy with my life. I love my family & I love my friends. I want to do positive things. I love sharing my journey & knowledge I’ve gained along the way. I love helping people and that’s what I am going to continue to do.”

Multiple sources told Us Weekly exclusively in January that producers had considered approaching Laurita and Caroline Manzo about coming back on the show. But two months later, Us confirmed that neither would return.

Laurita was one of the original Housewives when RHONJ premiered in May 2009. She was demoted to a friend of the Housewives in season 6 in 2014, only to return as a full-time cast member two years later. In April 2017, Laurita revealed that she had officially left the show, telling Entertainment Tonight that she no longer had “an authentic connection” with fellow OG Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. Meanwhile, Manzo, 56, was a main Housewife for the first five seasons before starring in her own spinoff, Manzo’d With Children.

Source Says Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita Will NOT Be Returning To "Real Hosuewives of New Jersey"

Danielle Staub, who returned to RHONJ last season as a friend for the first time since her season 2 departure in 2010, will be back, but her role is up in the air, according to the source.

While no new full-time Housewives have been hired yet, “they’re rolling in a bunch of different people and trying to figure it out as they go,” a source explains.

As previously reported, sources exclusively told Us Weekly in January that producers were considering approaching former housewives Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita about returning to the series. Us can now confirm that they will not be returning this season.

When asked in January if she would rejoin the hit franchise, Caroline told Us it would “be a major, major decision.” (She left RHONJ after five seasons in 2013 and went on to star on Manzo’d With Children with her family for three seasons.)

“It’s not something that I would embrace wholeheartedly and say, ‘Let’s do this!’ It’s something that I would consider very, very heavily and for a long time,” she explained. “On my end it would have to be a very well thought out decision because it has so many layers to it at this point in my life. So many layers to it. I had so much fun doing Manzo’d. It was just an awesome awesome opportunity.”

Danielle Staub Would Love for Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita to Return to ‘RHONJ’

If Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita decide to return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, one unlikley person will be on board: Danielle Staub. The Bravo star, who appeared in seasons 1 and 2 before rejoining last year, revealed that she’s heard rumors they may come back.

“I would love it because Teresa [Giudice] and I have each other’s back. They did to me what they did to her so …,” she told Us Weekly exclusively at the New York premiere of First We Take Brooklyn on Wednesday, February 7.

Giudice and Staub didn’t get along in the first two seasons – Giudice infamously flipped a table toward Staub in the first season – but have since put their differences behind them. “I knew we would [become friends]. I just think it was the universe calling,” she told Us. “I just think I had to wait and she had to wait and time had to go by. Things needed happened and those things happened and time went by and here we are.”

Last month, Manzo, 56, opened up about the speculation. “It’s not a no and it’s certainly not a yes. It’s a who knows,” she told Us at the time. Manzo left the show after five seasons in 2013 and went on to star in her own spinoff for three seasons. Laurita also left the show after five seasons, came back full-time in season 7, then exited again.

Since they’ve been gone, Staub has just become closer to Giudice, telling Us they speak every day.

As is tradition, once a Real Housewives show wraps up its reunion, all eyes turn to the season ahead. For The Real Housewives of New Jersey season nine, that could mean an infusion of new (or familiar) faces. Siggy Flicker already announced her exit, claiming she got a bad edit, and rumors are already swirling that the Garden State series could be bringing back original cast members Caroline Manzon and Jacqueline Laurita to shake things up.

"Maybe if they both come back it's because they need the money," Teresa Giudice told E! News. "But, I mean, whatever, bring it on. I could give two s—ts if they come back. Do I want to reconcile being friends with them again? No. They're both evil people and I really don't want anything to do with evil people. I don't, but if I have to give them a piece of my mind I will."

Teresa cited Caroline cozying up with her own family as a plot just for the show because she's a "money hungry bitch."

As for Siggy, who said, "After much reflection and Bravo's support, I have decided that this will be my last season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Jacqueline Laurita may be gone, but she's definitely not forgotten in Dolores Catania's eyes. In fact, The Real Housewives of Jersey pal definitely keeps in touch with the Garden State alum after she confirmed her exit from the show back in August.

"I do, I do. Jacqueline has a heart of gold," Dolores revealed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday. "I don't see her enough 'cause I've been so busy."

Though it is fairly easy for the two ladies to stay in contact, since, as Dolores noted, "She lives around the corner from me, actually."

Drama, drama, drama! Usually, episodes of Bravo's Real Housewives franchise are full of theatrics, but in Jacqueline Laurita's case, she just wasn't feeling the pressure to deliver. The Real Housewives of New Jersey regular was a staple in Seasons 1-5, but was demoted in Season 6 to a "friend of the Housewives." But it was the fallout from Season 7 that really helped Jacqueline — a mom-of-three — make a concrete decision about her role on the show.

That's why the Franklin Lakes native announced that she won't be coming back for Season 8. "Unfortunately, I will not be returning," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I think the feeling [from the network] is that I no longer have an authentic connection with two of the season’s cast members."

Season 7 saw Jacqueline sever ties with co-stars Teresa Giudice — who has accused her of leaking the Giudice family's criminal activity to the feds — and Melissa Gorga. "I think they feel I no longer fit in with the group," she continued. With Jacqueline on the outs, Bravo allegedly attempted to make a deal with her, claiming that if she brought the drama — "depending on how my story unfolded and if I meshed with the group," the 47-year-old said — she could stay on the payroll.

But Jacqueline admitted she wasn't interested. It was the feeling of having to prove herself (again) that ultimately shaped her decision to part ways with Bravo and the rest of the New Jersey Housewives.

"I just felt that after being on the show for seven years and putting my time and everything into that, to not have a confirmed full-time decision, with that feeling that I had to kind of tryout again, it just didn’t feel right," she confessed.

And for those who might be wondering what role salary played in her decision to leave, Jacqueline revealed money wasn't even a topic of discussion. "No, we didn't even talk money. We didn't even get that far!"

Jacqueline Laurita's Husband Chris Liable for Fraud in Bankruptcy Case

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Christopher Laurita was found liable for fraud on Thursday by a federal judge in connection with a protracted bankruptcy case.

Chris Laurita's clothing firm Signature Apparel filed for bankruptcy in 2009. In 2010, Anthony Labrosciano, the person designated by the court to settle the company's affairs, filed a lawsuit against Chris and Jacqueline Laurita; Chris' brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Adeline Laurita; and another brother Anthony Laurita, for allegedly using Signature Apparel bank accounts to pay for private jets, lavish vacations and expensive cars.

Joseph and Adeline Laurita settled their portion of the case in 2014 for $1 million, but Chris and Jacqueline as well as Anthony Laurita remained in litigation over the matter.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Robert E. Grossman for the Southern District of New York ruled on Thursday that Chris Laurita and management company Iconix, a subsidiary of Studio IP, were liable for fraud, negligent misrepresentation and tortious interference with contractual relations for diverting some of Signature Apparel's assets. Laurita was also found liable for breach of his fiduciary duty, and Iconix was found liable for aiding and abetting Laurita's fiduciary breach.

Grossman also found Studio IP liable for breach of contract, and New Star -- another Chris Laurita compay -- was liable for unjust enrichment of $1.8 million.

A hearing will now be set to determine the remainder of the damages.

Earlier this year, lawyers representing Chris and Jacqueline Laurita asked to be removed from the case due to the couple's $290,000 in unpaid legal fees.

Jacqueline Laurita Claims To Be Happy To Be ‘On the Outside’ of ‘RHONJ’

Jacqueline Laurita is over the drama of being a “Housewife.”

After Page Six exclusively reported in March that Laurita will not be returning to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” she explained to us that the decision to leave was her own.

“They had given me a start date,” she told us. “A couple days later they expressed concern that I wasn’t getting along with a few of the girls and they were like, ‘How’s this going to look authentic if you don’t want to be hanging out with each other?’”

“They wanted me to come on and start filming part-time to see how the storyline unfolded and then [said they] maybe would make me full-time,” she explained while promoting her health and beauty book “Get It!” at an event hosted by fitness app POPiN on Thursday night. “They weren’t guaranteeing full-time, so for me to film all season long under all that stress and drama to not have a guaranteed full-time [spot] was not worth it for me, so I said no.”

Cameras had followed Laurita’s on-again, off again friendship with fellow “Housewife” Teresa Giudice, whom Laurita subtly referred to her while signing copies of the book she co-wrote with Jene Luciani (author of “The Bra Book”).

A fan, coincidentally with the same first name as Giudice, prompted Laurita to quip, “I know a few Teresas.”

And as for why the workings behind Laurita’s latest venture — which was released in May — were never captured on camera?

“You can only promote so many books on the show, you know?”

Jacqueline Laurita Opens Up About All Her Plastic Surgeries

Jacqueline Laurita, of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” isn't afraid to go under the knife to get her ideal look.

“I never understood plastic surgery when I was younger,” she revealed. “But then when you get older, gravity takes its toll, your boobs start going south and lines form around your face. You start considering it more. You may look older, but you may still have the energy and drive of someone younger and you want the looks to match that feeling.”

The Bravo star opened up to Fox News about her latest plastic surgery, which she said she got after she began worrying that her silicone breast implants could rupture.

She decided to research other options and settled on the Ideal Implant, which is made of saline. Laurita found a new surgeon and went from a D-cup to a C-cup in December 2016. It was her fourth surgery on her breasts.

“On camera, I felt like I looked a lot larger with my boobs,” Laurita told us. “But I was insecure even before ‘Housewives.’ But no, it didn’t help having it in my face. I probably would have done them regardless."

Dr. David Rapaport did her surgery for free.

“I was going to use them before they offered to cover the costs,” she insisted. “I was already researching it and trying to reach out to a doctor. It was just a no-brainer. Why would I still want to stay worried about my silicone implants?”

She said surgery isn't the only thing she's done to improve her body.

“I watch what I eat, I exercise, I do all of those things,” Laurita said. “Yes, plastic surgery can give you a jumpstart, but it’s not a cure-all. You still have to maintain it. You can’t just get a tummy tuck and expect a flat stomach for the rest of your life. You still have to eat healthy, you still have to work out."

Jacqueline Laurita Confirms She’s Not Returning to ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey'

Jac won’t be back. Jacqueline Laurita revealed in a new interview that she will not be returning to Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey for the reality show’s upcoming eighth season.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight for an interview published on Monday, April 3, the RHONJ vet — who was one of the original cast members alongside Teresa Giudice, Caroline Manzo, Dina Manzo and Danielle Staub — explained why she won’t be participating in the next installment of the beloved franchise.

“Unfortunately, I will not be returning. I think the feeling [from the network] is that I no longer have an authentic connection with two of the season’s cast members,” Laurita, 46, told ET, seemingly referring to her former costars and enemies Giudice, 44, and Melissa Gorga.

As viewers saw on season 7 of RHONJ, Laurita’s friendships with series newbies Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania flourished, but she got into several explosive arguments with both Giudice and Gorga, 38.

“I think they feel I no longer fit in with the group,” she told ET, adding that she was offered a part-time position on the show that could become full-time “depending on how my story unfolded and if I meshed with the group.”

But Laurita, who was already demoted to part-time for 2014’s season 6 of RHONJ before reclaiming her full-time status for season 7, was not interested. “I just felt that after being on the show for seven years and putting my time and everything into that, to not have a confirmed full-time decision, with that feeling that I had to kind of try out again, it just didn’t feel right," she continued.

I'm no fan of Jacqueline, but 'producers decision' seems to be code for Teresa and Melissa not wanting her back.

Jacqueline Laurita and Kathy Wakile Axed From 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'

A cast shake-up is coming for Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey.” We’re told that original cast member Jacqueline Laurita is out, as well as longtime star Kathy Wakile.

Insiders say that Laurita — who has been a fixture on the show since it premiered back in 2009 — is departing after the network declined to cough up as much per episode as she had hoped for. “She’s really highly paid,” an insider told Page Six.

Meanwhile, sources say Wakile — who had been a member of the main cast for three seasons before becoming a part-timer last season — is disappointed to learn that she won’t be back at all for Season 8, we hear. Laurita’s departure means that Teresa Giudice will be the only member of the team to have appeared in all eight seasons of the hit show — no small feat considering that she spent one of them in prison.

It was recently reported that the series’ controversial star Danielle Staub — who appeared in the first two seasons — is to make a return.

Bravo declined to comment.

Jacqueline Laurita Just Got Her Fourth Boob Job, May Be Facing Ax From 'RHONJ'

In the Real Housewives franchise there are two sets of women: Those who adamantly deny getting plastic surgery (even if photos suggest otherwise) and those that wholeheartedly embrace it. One city that tends to fall into the latter category is New Jersey. Teresa Giudice had her girlfriends help her pick out her new “bubbies.” Siggy Flicker made the most epic entrance onto the show filming her first scene in a scarf and bandages after getting a face lift. And longtime housewife, Jacqueline Laurita, has always been very open about her many plastic surgery ventures. And her latest (her fourth boob job) is so memorable, we’re unveiling the results of her cup size reduction and breast tissue reduction right here.

After being unhappy with her breast size for years and getting increasingly fearful that her silicone implants could rupture without her knowing it, she decided to take her 7-year-old silicone implants out three years early (they need to be changed every 10 years), and go for something much smaller and much, much safer. Back in December Laurita made the decision to ditch silicone altogether for Ideal Implants. Ideal is made of a saline solution that offers the feel of silicone gel, with the safety of saline inside (which means that if they leak, your body will absorb the saline safely).

Laurita had breast surgery after all three of her children were born, but always opted for silicone-gel implants over saline back in the day because she wanted a natural feel. “At the time saline weren’t natural-feeling and could ripple along on the sides and feel like water balloons, so I went for the silicone because I wanted natural-feeling boobs,” Laurita tells PeopleStyle.

But as time went on, she heard more and more horror stories of silicone implants rupturing — without the woman even knowing. Her friend’s ruptured and spread all throughout her body, much like Yolanda Hadid’s situation, chronicled on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Even with her regular MRIs (which anyone with silicone needs to do every two years) she was paranoid. “Anytime I went to get a mammogram and I was so worried I was leaking, or the doctor would make me leak during the mammogram,” she said. “I always had that fear in my head. I was always paranoid about popping the silicone whenever I put any pressure on my chest.”

The official cast for season eight of The Real Housewives of New Jersey has yet to be announced but its sounds like all signs point to Danielle Staub's return. Rumors about the mother of two making her Bravo comeback has been strongly reported after she and nemesis Teresa Giudice reunited over yoga and seemingly buried the hatchet but now Bravo exec Andy Cohen confirms to HollywoodLife.com that the former Real Housewives star is 'in discussions' to return.

"We are casting Jersey right now," he added.

As for Danielle, she still wouldn't confirm anything but she did say she's very much looking forward to be part of the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, even if it means dealing with frenemy Jacqueline Laurita.

"The only thing I can say is if Andy [Cohen] decides that it is time for me to come back then I would definitely say yes," she told Wetpaint.com when asked about a potential season eight return. "Oh, especially [if Jacqueline is there]. I mean, I am Danielle Staub after all. It's time for her to get 'booped.'"

Most recently, Danielle posted an article on Instagram, hinting that Jaqueline should be scared of her return. She also added "ITS ALL UP TO @bravoandy" in the caption.

Lawyers Say Chris and Jacqueline Laurita Owe Them $290K

Lawyers representing "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars Chris and Jacqueline Laurita in their prolonged business bankruptcy case are claiming the couple owes them more than $290,000 in unpaid legal fees. They are now asking a judge to be removed from a part of the proceedings.
The case is an especially complicated one, even by the standards of "Real Housewives" legal imbroglios.

Chris Laurita's clothing firm Signature Apparel -- which manufactured clothes under various trademarked brands -- filed for bankruptcy in 2009. In 2010, Anthony Labrosciano, the person designated by the court to settle the company's affairs, filed a lawsuit against the Lauritas, as well as Chris' brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Adeline Laurita, and another brother Anthony Laurita for using Signature Apparel bank accounts to furnish their own high-flying lifestyles, including private jets, lavish vacations and expensive cars.

Joseph and Adeline Laurita settled their portion of the case in 2014 for $1 million, but Chris and Jacqueline as well as Anthony Laurita remain in litigation over the matter.

Jacqueline Laurita, who briefly left the franchise but was asked to return as the legal drama surrounding former best friend Teresa Giudice began heating up, has discussed the couple's money woes on the show, but for the most part blamed them on the costs associated with their younger son's autism treatment.

Their Franklin Lakes home went into foreclosure in 2015, but the couple -- who returned as full-time cast members in the show's seventh season last year -- were able to make their loan current. The couple still face two tax liens filed in 2013: $338,337 from the state and $85,127 from the federal government.

Jacqueline Laurita Insists She Had Nothing To Do with Teresa Giudice's Arrest

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita insisted that she had nothing to do with Teresa Giudice’s arrest. During Part 2 of the Season 7 reunion episode, Teresa claimed that Jacqueline and RHONJ alum Caroline Manzo set her up. But in a recent interview, Jacqueline revealed that she had an idea who actually called the feds on her co-star.

Teresa Giudice did not hold back at the recent Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion. After accusing Jacqueline Laurita of being a stripper and selling her story to the tabloids, the RHONJ veteran said that, in her gut, she felt like it was Jacqueline who called the government on her.

Even if Jacqueline repeatedly told Teresa that she had nothing to with her arrest, Teresa insisted that she played a part in it, intentionally or not. Their Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania also did not believe that Jacqueline is capable of doing such a horrible thing to Teresa. Even if it was not Jacqueline, Teresa claimed that she might have had people “do the dirty work for her.”

“I feel like she was definitely dabbling in it. She was speaking to people that maybe those certain people then went to the feds,” she said.

Coming to his wife’s defense, Chris Laurita explained that Jacqueline truly had nothing to do with Teresa and Joe’s arrest. He revealed that they even tried to help in the beginning, but Joe just did not cooperate.

In an interview with Real Mr Housewife, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star revealed that the real problem started when Teresa’s husband, Joe Giudice, refused to pay his ex-partner back.

“The story I’ve heard is that Joe owed his ex-partner a lot of money and he said if Joe didn’t pay him back he would talk to the Feds,” Jacqueline said.

Joe’s ex-partner reached out to a mutual friend of theirs, who then convinced Chris to talk to Joe and have him sit down with his ex-partner and work out a deal to pay him back “to avoid a bad situation.”

At this point, Jacqueline Laurita shared that she already knew about the ongoing investigation from Melissa and Joe Gorga. Jacqueline predicted that the investigation started when a tax audit showed that the couple has not paid their taxes in years when they were “flashing cash” and “shopping like crazy” on television.

Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga Fire Back at Jacqueline Laurita Over Nose-Job Accusation

Andy Cohen asks a simple question that launches a tirade of insults between Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita on part two of The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 7 reunion episode airing on Sunday, November 13, as seen in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek.

“I need to know something. Melissa, did you have four nose jobs?” Cohen asks while toeing into the lion’s den.

Melissa gives a quick and emphatic “No!” in response, then reiterates that it’s the “worst-kept secret” that she has had a nose job.

Before she can say much more, Laurita inserts, “One? Not two different doctors?”
“Why do you care?” Gorga shoots back, with Giudice "Oh, my God"-ing in disbelief.

“I stated the f--king obvious, Pinocchio!” Laurita snaps. She adds that she doesn't even care whether Gorga got work done or not: “It’s about the fact that she could lie with a straight face.”

We get a brief moment of comedic relief from Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania, who both agree that they’d like to be the ones with the most plastic surgery after Laurita outs them as such. Don’t forget that the first time we met Flicker, her face was covered in post-facelift bandages. And back to the battle.

“History shows that you both are liars,” Laurita insists, and officially drags Giudice into the fight with a sharp, “You went to jail for it!”

“You’re a s--t friend,” Gorga states, which was too much for Flicker and Catania as the shot pans to them looking aghast.
