Meghan King Edmonds Is Leaving 'Real Housewives of Orange County' to Focus on Family & Pregnancy
People.com:
Meghan King Edmonds is hanging up her Housewives hat.Isn't this the second time that she announced that she's leaving 'RHOC'?
On Tuesday, the Real Housewives of Orange County star announced that she’s stepping away from the Bravo show after three seasons, explaining her “bittersweet” decision in a lengthy blog post.
“I arrived at this multi-faceted decision after much thought, and then I thought some more,” she said. “As you might suspect filming this show takes a massive emotional toll: I’m literally filming my real life in real time and engaged in situations and circumstances which can be contentious. Then, when the show airs, we relive some trying of the most trying moments in our lives and then endure the public’s reaction; we never come out as winners to every viewer.”
Edmonds, 33, also said the show took a “physical toll” on her as she underwent IVF treatments in season 11, and experienced the busy life of a new mom after welcoming daughter Aspen King Edmonds in season 12.
“Filming is grueling!” she admitted. “After my first season I knew what to expect for round two, but even still, filming during IVF and then the beginning of pregnancy during my second season was difficult. I was hormonal and tired all the time. But my third season takes the cake: I had a newborn and had to hire a full time live-in nanny (my cousin) so as to allow me the flexibility to meet my obligations of continuous days and long hours of filming, traveling, etc.”
“My mind was often foggy as I filmed but I put on a great face and did it because I loved being a Housewife and was so grateful for my opportunity,” she said.

“We’re having TWINS! Oh boy oh boy! 💙💙#doubletrouble#threeundertwo,” the mom-to-be, 33, captioned the reveal.
King Edmonds announced on her blog in late November that she and Edmonds, 47, were expecting a son after undergoing in vitro fertilization again.
“It was so hard for us to keep it a secret from everyone especially since we shared our entire IVF journey with Aspen on RHOC from the very beginning,” she wrote.
“Tonight on the RHOC reunion you’ll see that I’m only one month pregnant, but that was filmed five weeks ago: we are now 10 weeks pregnant (and I’m feeling every bit of it)!” added King Edmonds.

Meghan King Edmonds Speaks On Questioning Lydia McLaughlin's Faith
Bravo.com:
It was "game friggin' on" between Meghan King Edmonds and Lydia McLaughlin in Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12 reunion. The OC ladies disagreed over Lydia's behavior toward Meghan's friend Mystic Michaela, who is an aura reader and psychic medium (clip above). Meghan thought that Lydia didn't treat her bud very well because she doesn't believe in psychics. Lydia stood by her beliefs and maintained that she was friendly toward Mystic Michaela, even if she didn't want anything to do with her aura readings.RELATED: Jim Edmonds Slams Kelly Dodd's Accusation That Meghan King Edmonds Was His Mistress
Meghan shared what she took away from her conversation with Lydia during Part 1 of this season's reunion and clarified what she meant by her own comments about her RHOC pal's observance of Christianity on Instagram Monday. "I have an incredibly fulfilling and strong faith in God and in that faith I adamantly believe all groups of people should be treated equally," Meghan explained. "I believe that right and wrong don’t need to be such a gray area if you just listen to the heart that God gave you and I trust that whatever faith you follow - or do not follow - that will you accept love above all."
As for Lydia, she hasn't said much about the tension that transpired between her and Meghan at the RHOC reunion, but it looks like she's not going to let anything — or anyone — get her down. "This season has been a wild ride," she wrote on Instagram Monday. "Grateful for all your love and support. #StayOnMyRainbow."

Peggy Sulahian Criticized Meghan Edmonds' Parenting
Bustle.com:
The drama really amped up in Iceland during The Real Housewives of Orange County cast trip. It got so intense in the Nov. 6 episode that Peggy Sulahian left early. Peggy criticized Meghan Edmonds as a mother on RHOC, when she pointed out in front of the entire group that Meghan's baby Aspen was "crying for 10 minutes" alone. Clearly the pressure got to her, but Peggy didn't seem to realize how offensive she was being.RELATED: Is Peggy Sulahian on her way out of 'The Real Housewives of Orange County'?
As a mother of three herself, Peggy should have some sensitivity talking to a new mother about her child, but that was not the case here. Tamra Judge came to Meghan's defense by saying, "she's doing a timing thing." She even screamed "She's training her baby!" in her "This is my opinion!" voice. Peggy did not seem to grasp why every other person in the group was defending Meghan, who was crying her eyes out.
After such an explosive episode, it made sense to check Meghan's Twitter account to see her public reaction to Peggy's mommy-shaming. Unfortunately she didn't tweet anything about that (yet), but she did "like" a tweet mentioning the Ferber Method. An article from Parenting Science breaks down the training concept. According to the site, the Ferber Method involves parents leaving their children alone for intervals that are timed. They are not supposed to go to their babies, even if they fuss and cry. Theoretically, the children learn to sooth themselves.
Peggy obviously wasn't aware of this, but actually seemed to believe that Meghan was neglecting her child to drink with her friends. But Meghan and her cousin/babysitter Bridget knew exactly what they were doing by letting Aspen cry it out. They were simply training Aspen to modify her behavior. As a mother, it's her choice how she wants to raise her child.

Meghan Edmonds Talks 'Drama Ahead' on 'Real Housewives of Orange County'
HuffPo.com:
Meghan King Edmonds is in many ways an underrated “Real Housewife “in the Bravo franchise. Part of the cast of Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC) she reportedly almost didn’t become a main cast member this season since she spends significant time away from the OC. Thankfully, however, she is back and I’m glad. She’s an outspoken woman unafraid to verbalize her concerns and address the elephants in the room. What viewers don’t see on TV is how she is also an ardent feminist and passionate about social justice issues. On RHOC, she was the one that famously got to the bottom of Brooks Ayer’s cancer claim, exposing Vicki Gunvalson’s (now former) boyfriend for the fraud he was.
Unlike prior seasons, the drama on RHOC - which is really the “magic” of any Housewives show - has been notably stilted so far in Season 12. It seems that the ladies filmed separately and there’s chemistry lacking between cast members. New addition Peggy Sulahian, who has been in the U.S. since she was a year old and was an English major in college (according to her daughters), seems to be either word-challenged or putting on an act, while insane accusations fuel the blogs and social media.
The Internet fodder is more fiery than the dynamics between the ladies on TV, so I had to ask Meghan: What in the hell is up with that? I instantly felt like she was a friend I could commiserate with because she understood my sentiment that the ladies generally weren’t “bringing it” this season. As you’ll read in our discussion below, she did assure me that there is major drama up ahead when the cast takes their annual trip - this time to Iceland.
I listened to your recent interview with comedian Kate Casey on her podcast Reality Life. I agree with Kate: I understood the sadness you felt when you discovered you weren’t carrying both of the embryos you had implanted. I feel bad that you got criticism for that, but I’m happy you were able to have your daughter Aspen.Thank you. I’m obviously so thankful and appreciative and I adore my daughter and love her more than anything, but at the time and especially in that moment you saw on TV, it was a loss. I felt it and there were emotions hitting me. I wasn’t expecting the negative viewer reaction to that.
What’s really bizarre and interesting about this season of RHOC is that there seems to be little drama onscreen as compared to what’s on the blogs and on social media.I know, right?! it’s so weird. I don’t understand that! I feel like people are taking the blogs really seriously this year. It hasn’t really happened like this before.
It feels like everyone filmed separately and I’m not seeing as many of the dynamics between the ladies as compared to last season. That’ what Kate Casey said too. I feel like it’s not that way. The executive producer said to me that she really wishes we could film more individual stuff because she felt like there was so much happening within each of the ladies lives, and she wishes she could film more private things.
Who of your cast mates do you see when you’re not filming?
I’m good friends with Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador. I was also close with Kelly Dodd and we would talk and hang out now and then. It’s hard currently because Jimmy and I summer in Idaho and it’s this kind of escape like an adult summer camp. We sort of disappear there and then will come back to Orange County, then hop around to Saint Louis until baseball season ends in October...The life that I live is so unrelatable, my friends (off of the show) can’t even understand it. I see the ladies when I’m in town, but traveling is so non-stop for me that I don’t even get to see my family.RELATED: How Meghan King Edmonds' Husband Rescued Her From a Nightmare Travel Day

Peggy Sulahian Responds To 'Troubled Marriage' Rumors
RadarOnline.com:
Peggy Sulahian just unleashed an explosive rant over her “troubled marriage” to husband Diko after RadarOnline.com exclusively uncovered a divorce bombshell between the RHOC couple. As Radar previously reported, Diko secretly filed for divorce from Peggy in 1996.RELATED: Meghan King Edmonds Calls New RHOC Castmate Peggy Sulahian 'Weird' After Tiff: 'Everybody Feels This Way'
Despite Peggy’s constant claims of having the perfect marriage to her partner of over 20 years, Radar obtained court documents proving Dikran K. Sulahian filed a petition for dissolution of marriage against Peggy Atteukenian (the reality mom’s maiden name) on April 24 of that year.
Peggy took to her Bravo blog on Tuesday to dispute tales of a troubled marriage. “As you can see, I have an amazing relationship with my husband Diko,” Peggy insisted. She also pointed out a scene during Monday night’s episode in which she and Diko’s playful and loving nature was revealed as they giggled over the Armenian beauty’s misunderstanding of the popular American phrase “beating a dead horse.” “We have the best of times being silly, with love and laughter, even having fun with a topic of idioms such as ‘beating a dead horse,'” she wrote.
Peggy insinuated the phrase goes perfectly with the troubled marriage rumors she’s currently facing. “I googled it later, to find out it meant something pointless to discuss since it’s been discussed so many times already; he’s so right.”
As Radar readers know, the two were married on April 29, 1995 and separated less than one year later, on March 29, 1996. According to the Los Angeles Superior Court documents, the divorce was finalized on December 11, 1996, by Judge Robert A. Schinder. Neither party was present when the marriage was officially dissolved.

Kelly Dodd Attacks Meghan Edmonds Amid Cheating Rumors
RadarOnline.com:
Kelly Dodd and Meghan King Edmonds may have made up on RHOC — but now they’re at war again now that the cameras stopped rolling.RELATED: Real Housewives of Orange County recap: 'We Have a New Puppet Master'
Edmonds, 32, revealed that she stopped talking to Dodd, 43, while she was pregnant with Aspen after Dodd sent her a text accusing Jim Edmonds of having a mistress. The women made up when Aspen was 2-months-old, but now Dodd is starting a war again.
“Addressing comments made by Meghan, I was shocked to see her play the victim (as a seven month pregnant woman) when she provoked me originally last summer with a rude, nasty text claiming she heard I had a boyfriend,” Dodd wrote in her Bravotv.com blog.
“Which is total bulls***!” she continued. “Meghan and I had not communicated for weeks before I received her text. No, ‘Hi, how are you?’ No pleasantries. Her text came at me from out-of-the-blue, was completely out-of-bounds, a vicious rumor from some random Twitter troll. Sorry, Meghan, but if you want to start or promote bulls*** rumors, you have no pregnancy defense or exemption to hide behind. Don’t deflect your nastiness on me. What surprised me more was that after this flared up between us, we both agreed to squash the matter last summer. What happened?”Edmonds has not responded to Dodd’s claims yet.
The reality star and the former baseball player were at odds during her pregnancy, but the Cardinals star quickly turned into a doting dad after Aspen’s November arrival.

'I Survived!' Meghan King Edmonds Confirms 'RHOC' Return
RadarOnline.com:
Meghan King Edmonds finally confirmed that she’s returning to season 12 of The Real Housewives of Orange County — but RadarOnline.com first revealed the news back in May!RELATED: Meghan King Edmonds’ Daughter CAUGHT Without Her Helmet! Is She OK?
“I’m back on #RHOC season 12 with two new additions!” the reality star captioned of a photo of her new title shots.
“Welcome Baby Aspen and @therealgirlygirl and of course my boyfriend @jimedmonds15!” she joked. “I am still in shock that I survived season 12 with an infant and a puppy.”
Edmonds, 32, revealed on the season 11 finale that she wanted to move to St. Louis permanently, saying: “If this is the kind of example my child has to look forward to in the O.C., I don’t know if I want to be around for that.”
She quickly moved back to Missouri after wrapping the reunion, and gave birth to Aspen in her hometown.
But, she quickly returned to become a “friend of the Housewives,” a source told Radar.
“Meghan started off as being a friend or a guest on the show for this upcoming season. She was really wanting to focus on her family,” the insider explained. “Producers had already written Meghan and her family out of the show, so she had to really plead and show them she wanted to return badly.”Ultimately, Bravo changed their mind on her.
“Negotiations fell through with production on with a potential new cast member, so they were able to make room for Meghan,” the insider said. “She was the last person to get an offer to return to the full-time cast.”
“Producers felt that bringing her back full time could be good for her and good for ratings,” the source added.

Meghan Edmonds Apparently Changes Her Mind, Rejoins 'Real Housewives of Orange County'
RadarOnline.com:
Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds must have had a big change of heart about leaving reality TV to focus on her family. RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the 33-year-old wife of Jim Edmonds and new mom to daughter Aspen is actually returning as a full-time cast member this upcoming season.RELATED: Meghan King Edmonds' Baby Girl Already Knows How to Slay a Red Carpet
When last season of RHOC wrapped, the blond beauty was very pregnant. Sadly, it seemed that fans were not going to be able to witness Edmond’s mommy skills. She quit the show, insisting that the drama was not for her.
As previously reported, Edmonds told fans that she was moving to her native St. Louis with her baseball legend husband, 46, and newborn daughter. However, “producers felt that bringing her back full time could be good for her and good for ratings,” the source said.
“Meghan started off as being a friend or a guest on the show for this upcoming season. She was really wanting to focus on her family,” the insider added.
As RHOC die-hards know, King Edmonds was not having any of the drama that was brewing between Vicki Gunvalson, 55, and Tamra Judge, 48, last season. But things are quite different now, as the source told Radar, “Meghan has formed a close bond with Tamra and Shannon [Beador] and it is working out really well so far.”
Though they knew she could bring the drama, “producers had already written Meghan and her family out of the show, so she had to really plead and show them she wanted to return badly,” the source told Radar.
