Trying to make herself more likable for her return to “The Real Housewives of New York City,” Bethenny Frankel has hired personality coaches to help her “tone down.”RELATED: Bethenny Frankel not scared of ex Jason Hoppy's legal threats
The reality star returns for the next season of “Housewives” after leaving in 2010 to star in “Bethenny Ever After,” a spinoff documenting her marriage to estranged husband Jason Hoppy.
But Frankel is working to earn back public appeal after a messy split from Hoppy and the cancellation of her daytime talk show, “Bethenny.”
A source told The New York Post that Frankel, known for her brash, opinionated demeanor, has hired personality coaches to help her “tone down her s–t.”
The source explained, “She’s turned herself into a victim and been told by these coaches to be much more demure, and not be as harsh as she was.”
Frankel recently appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” chat show in which she admitted to host Andy Cohen that she would never get legally married again.
She also confessed to being single after splitting up with boyfriend of about one year, financier Michael Cerussi III.
The reality star is still living in the same apartment as Hoppy which meant that she was forced to film everything for “Real Housewives” outside of the apartment.
The new season of “Housewives” starts April 7. Reps for Bravo and Frankel didn’t respond.
