Ana Quincoces' time on The Real Housewives of Miami was brief, but her vacation time down in the Florida Keys was cut even shorter. First by cockroaches and then by the law.RELATED: Ana Quincoces: My Life After the Real Housewives
Quincoces had a suspended driver's license but continued to drive freely. Apparently she's been spending a lot of time down in the Keys, because Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies had previously informed her of her license status and that she shouldn't be driving. In fact, back on February 9, Deputy Bryan Cross had responded to a disturbance call in Key Largo and encountered Quincoces, according to the arrest report. Cross and a fellow deputy at the time informed her that her license was suspended, seized it, and told her not to drive.
Fast-forward to this past Sunday. Deputy Cross was doing a security check near Mile Marker 99 of U.S. 1 at 3:40 a.m. when he noticed a familiar Subaru SUV driving down the road. He recognized it as Quincoces' vehicle and pulled her over.
Quincoces had still not fixed her license situation, and Cross asked her why she was driving when she had previously been told not to. Quincoces had no excuse and was arrested on misdemeanor charges and taken to a jail on Plantation Key for a few hours.
However, according to Keys Info, Quincoces now has an excuse. She says she was staying in a home that had been listed by a realtor friend of hers, but found that the home was full of cockroaches. She said she just wanted to return home and didn't know she had a suspended license.
The grand irony of Quincoces' apparent inability to understand basic law regarding driver's license suspension is that she is indeed a lawyer by trade. She's also a cookbook author and "chef," but who isn't these days?
Quincoces, a 50 year old from Coral Gables, first appeared on the first season of Real Housewives of Miami as a guest, returned to the second season a main cast member, and was downgraded to recurring "friend of the Housewives" in season three. The show has not been officially cancelled or renewed by Bravo.

ReplyDeleteQuincoces should have used her senses than driving on a suspended driver's license. Now before hiring any lawyer, she need to ask him about professional memberships and few references. Ask if they keep their training current by attending seminars on DWI. My brother works with a DUI lawyer and have told me that all these things can impact outcome of case to a great extent.
