In this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the ladies got everything out into the open, including the fact that Taylor Armstrong confided in them about the abuse she had allegedly suffered at the hands of her late husband Russell. It even appeared that some of the Housewives questioned the validity of Taylor’s stories. But, why? Kyle Richards took to her blog this week to clarify that not all things on camera are as they appear.RELATED: Camille Grammer Regrets Abusive Comment to Taylor Armstrong
“Taylor had told all of us that Russell had been abusing her. None of us ever wanted to discuss that in front of the cameras. Taylor was scared what Russell would do if he found out. That is why we danced around this subject for so long. To protect Taylor. I said a few times when someone would say too much on camera “well, maybe that’s not true. We don’t know the whole story” because I was scared too. For Taylor and all of us.”
If that isn’t protecting a friend, we don’t know what is. Kyle says that in private, they were doing everything they could do to help Taylor without letting the cameras see, but that during Lisa’s tea party, the truth came out. “I thought “Oh my God. What just happened??” That was the moment Taylor had been fearing the most…”
