With just days until the season 2 premiere of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, we will be moving away from the recent tragedy onto some lighter news!
In a new interview, Kyle Richards opens up about the new season, her desire to have more children, her feelings on her on camera fight with sister Kim, plus thoughts on costar Camille today. Excerpts from Kyle’s interview with Breezy Mama below -
What can we expect in Season 2 with your sister?
We started to make amends after Season One. By Season 2 we’re okay. We’re still a work in progress throughout the show. We have our moments. We’re probably always going to clash, but we’re sisters. We’re very different.
What about with Camille?
Camille and I are much better. We’re in a good place right now. We’re actually having fun together [laughs].
But you also got flack for it. Were you surprised?
I surprisingly didn’t take any flack for my stuff with Camille. Not at all. I had an enormous amount of support. I couldn’t believe all the Facebook, tweets and emails… Team Kyle. Who knew there were teams? I didn’t know. But the stuff with my sister, I did take flack for. That was very difficult because people are judging you on one season of a TV show and not realizing this relationship is a life time in the making.
You had an all out sister fight. And those can get brutal, but you had it all happen on camera…
I can’t believe it got to that point. I’ll never forget that night, leaving. I was so upset and devastated and crying and I couldn’t believe this all was happening, but I wasn’t even thinking that the world is going to see this. I’m not even thinking about that the camera is there… that doesn’t even cross my mind. So then once that sunk in, the anxiety started.
Do you think you’ll be more self conscious in Season 2?
I think that… in the beginning, I was a little gun shy. But then about a week into it, that all goes away [laughs].
You were talking about another baby in season 1…
I would love another baby. My husband [Mauricio Umansky] told me the other day that the door is not shut on that, but I’m thinking to myself – you better hurry up. Maybe it’s not shut to you, but I don’t know how long I have. I’m not getting any younger… I have always wanted to have twins, but I feel like I’m too short to carry them.
Is there anything you are nervous about in Season 2 to air?
I am on pins and needles. I am nervous about the whole season just because it’s one thing to live our life out and another to watch it play out on a TV show. People think, “Oh, it’s a TV show,” but it’s our lives. There’s no script here.
In other news, the newly divorced Camille Grammer is also speaking out in a recent interview about her new life as a single woman. Surprisingly, Camille reveals she doesn’t need a man to feel complete though admitting being single can be difficult at times.
“It’s difficult. I miss having a partner in my life,” admitted Camille who turned 43 today. “But I realize that in my life now, I don’t need a man to make me feel complete. So that’s what I feel really good about.”
Camille adds that her focus at the moment is on her two children with ex-husband Kelsey Grammer: Daughter Mason Olivia, 10, and son, Jude Gordon, 6. “My existence is pretty boring. My nights are snuggled up watching Selena Gomez with my daughter and son,” she said with a laugh. “That is what is my life is right now.”
As for what she looks for in a man, Camille states: “I like people that are smart and have a wicked sense of humor… that’s probably why I fell in love with Kelsey because he’s very funny… Though it is not all about looks, it helps if he is cute.” Camille goes on to add that her children remain her priority. “I’ve gone on a couple of dates, and if they look the wrong way, I’m sorry. I’m not going to waste my time. It’s all about my children. They have to like children– and if not, good-bye.”
The new season of the RHOBH premieres Monday, Sep. 5 on Bravo.
