"It was perfect timing," Stephanie Hollman tells PEOPLE Now of her decision to do the show with pal Brandi Redmond.
"Both of our kids are in school, maybe a little bit of boredom. We have so much fun together so why not?"
This new Real Housewives spin-off follows the over-the-top lives of Hollman and Redmond, along with Cary Deuber, Tiffany Hendra and LeeAnne Locken, as they navigate Dallas' elite social scene.
"We're ready for the world to see us," says Redmond. "Ready for the Band-Aid to come off."
While they may be new to reality TV, one Housewife has already passed on some words of wisdom to the ladies.
"Dorinda [Medley, from The Real Housewives of New York,] gave me so me really great advice she said you have to go into it and have fun. If you're not having fun, you probably shouldn't be doing it," says Redmond.
With plenty of "Jesus Juice" (a.k.a. wine) flowing during filming, there will be no shortage of action from the dynamic duo.
"We're really, really goofy," says Hollman when asked what Housewives veterans they are most like. "I feel like we are very different, but the only two that you can really compare us to if you were going to is maybe Sonja [Morgan] and Ramona [Singer of RHONY] – only when they are really silly."
The Real Housewives of Dallas premieres Monday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo.
