TMZ caught up with NeNe at LAX to get the scoop on her exit. During their discussion, the former "RHOA" star told the outlet that her departure had absolutely nothing to do with her salary, but rather scheduling conflicts. She also said there is no chance she'll be returning to the show in Season 8. That doesn't mean she's completely done, however. NeNe appears to be considering signing back on for a later season.
Whether she decides to make a Bethenny Frankel style comeback on "RHOA" or not, fans haven't seen the last of NeNe. During her time away from Bravo's cameras she will be participating in ABC's 60s game show reboot of "To Tell the Truth." NeNe will appear on the show each week alongside Betty White and another unnamed panelist. They will face off against contestants who are trying to convince them that whatever they are saying, whether it's that they've invented something great, been somewhere exotic, or made a wild discovery, is the truth. The show, which will be hosted by Anthony Anderson, is slated to begin filming today.
In addition to her game show role, NeNe will be starring in a brand new Bravo reality series. She and Kim Zolciak-Biermann, another former "RHOA" star, will be traversing the country in search of new adventures. The show is being called "The Road to Riches." According to its description, the ladies will be pushed outside of their comfort zones during the cross-country road trip.
Neither "To Tell the Truth" nor "The Road to Riches" have received premiere dates.
