'Fake' Lawyer Who Represented Jacqueline and Christopher Laurita Is Indicted

NJ.com:
The Franklin Lakes man who posed as an attorney for cast members of the Real Housewives of New Jersey accused of beating a Paramus man was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday, according to Ridgewood Patch.

Mark J. McGuire, 53, was charged by Ridgewood police with a single count of "unauthorized representation" for telling three Ridgewood police officers he was allowed to practice law in the state of New Jersey.

McGuire, who isn't a licensed attorney in New Jersey, had "represented" Jacqueline and Christopher Laurita after a Paramus man claimed the Lauritas and fellow cast member Joe Gorga assaulted him in a bloody confrontation at the grand opening of a Ridgewood business.

The criminal charges against the Housewives, as well as countercharges filed against the accuser, were dropped in September. The accuser, Johnny Karagiorgis, has filed a civil suit against the reality stars seeking damages.
