New 'Real Housewives' Star Siggy Flicker: 'I Did 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey Because I Didn’t Like The Way Jersey was Being Portrayed'

CourierPostOnline.com:
One of the new cast members of Bravo's hit reality show, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," has South Jersey ties.

Fans of the show will see new cast member Siggy Flicker when the seventh season premieres at 8 p.m. July 10 on Bravo.

Flicker, a graduate of Cherry Hill West, is a relationship expert, professional matchmaker and author.
While she is an expert at handing out love advice, she's no stranger to television. In 2011, she starred in the VH1 series "Why Am I Still Single?!" where she gave dating lessons to clients looking for love. For the past five years, she's been a featured guest on "Good Morning America," "Dr. Phil," "Wendy Williams" and others.

This time around, she's making a point to represent New Jersey the right way with what she calls a "loud, outspoken, big personality."

"I did 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' for one reason only," Flicker told Courier-Post. "I didn’t like the way Jersey was being portrayed and I am very proud to be a Jersey girl."

Flicker was born in Israel but spent most of her childhood in Cherry Hill, living in different apartment complexes on Cooper Landing Road before attending college at Monmouth University. She has fond memories of having breakfast at Ponzio's Diner and playing softball with friends from her high school.

"Cherry Hill was the most beautiful town to grow up in," Flicker said.

Filming wrapped in May and while mum's the word on any details of the show, Flicker says fans can expect a lot of heart, soul and the obvious drama.

"The show has some great girls."
