Jill Zarin Confirms Return to ‘Real Housewives of New York’, ‘Adores’ Bethany Frankel’s Replacement

WSJ.com:
Hey Housewives fans. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Jill Zarin officially confirmed that she is returning for a fourth season of the hit reality show “Real Housewives of New York” on Bravo TV. Zarin, who has been with the cast since the series debut, had a rough third season as her break- up with “besty” Bethany Frankel brought out the worst in the drama mamas and caused tension among all the Housewives. Zarin says she wasn’t sure she’d made the right decision returning to the show, but now after taping, she says she is really glad she did it and teases, “and you’ll see why.”

With no new “frenemy” this season, Zarin says she “adores” Frankel’s replacement to the Housewives cast. (Though Bravo reps have yet to officially announce who the newest cast-mate of the show will be, multiple sources report Completely Bare founder Cindy Barshop is the newest housewife.) Frankel, of course, has moved on as well. Her wedding and the birth of her child were the subject of her own reality series “Bethany Getting Married” and now “Skating with the Stars.” Ironically, Frankel only became a legit housewife after the leaving the show.

While they may no longer be friends, Zarin has certainly taken a page from Frankel’s playbook on brand building and profiting by getting girls skinny. Zarin, who works at the family fabric company, Zarin Fabrics, has launched her own bedding line with Bed Bath and Beyond and is now working on debuting a new shape wear line to rival industry leader SPANX. Frankel, of course, has turned her fifteen minutes of fame into a Skinny Girl empire. Zarin has also co-opted Frankel’s mantra adding that while she is re-focused on the show and on building her empire, she wants to “Go big or go home.”
