Kandi Burruss Buys Mama Joyce A New House, Opens Up About Fears of Becoming a "Wicked Stepmother"

Wetpaint.com:
Kandi Burruss may seem to have parenting down to a science with daughter Riley, but that doesn’t mean she’s resting on her laurels.

In a new post on her BravoTV.com blog, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star admits that she has new mom jitters all over again, now that she’s playing stepmother to Todd Tucker’s daughter, Kaela.

While Kaela is nearly a grown up, having recently turned 18 and started working at her first job, Kandi is still concerned that she’ll do something to mess up the happy family dynamic they’re all enjoying at the moment.

Todd is a lot sterner than I am, and he feels like I'm not stern enough. We are still trying to find our happy medium,” she says of the difficulties of blending her household with Todd’s. “

While Kandi and Todd’s parenting styles may differ, Kandi says she’s trying her best to make the home a happy and harmonious place for everyone who lives there.

Admitting she was nervous about having Kaela move in, Kandi says, “Kaela is 18 and I want to build a good relationship with her. I never want her to feel like I'm the wicked step mom. I'm scared to put too many rules on her in fear of her feeling like I'm being too harsh, but there still have to be rules.”

Teresa Aprea Changes Her Tune Regarding Teresa Giudice, Calls Victoria Gotti A 'Liar'

Inquisitr.com:
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Aprea may be new to the show, but she is quickly learning that she can’t quickly change her mind with the full support of the show’s fans. Aprea was very aggressive when it came to attacking Teresa Giudice for being involved in spreading the rumor about Rino Aprea, even though Victoria Gotti was clearly the one doing the talking.

Teresa Aprea tried to make up with Teresa Giudice during the season finale, but was very aggressive in calling her stupid. It was clear that Aprea wanted to get Giudice to admit to being involved, but Teresa didn’t see herself as a guilty person. Even though many people wouldn’t have accepted Aprea’s approach to solving the issue during the Project Ladybug event, she is now revealing that she is glad the talk happened.

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Aprea is now revealing that she is very thankful that she is on speaking terms with Teresa Giudice, even though she was very harsh when it came to the rumor about her husband. Aprea strongly believed that Giudice had been responsible for spreading the malicious story.

“I am happy that Teresa and I are in a good place now and she knows that I am here for her if she needs anything. Sometimes the best thing to do is put the past in the past and move forward. You can’t change people. Some people apologize and move on and with some people you know that they never meant to intentionally hurt you, so you move on together. My husband and Joe Guidice get along great as well. We all have to support one and other and I am grateful that we are all in a good place,” Teresa Aprea explains of the current situation.

Cynthia Bailey Hits Back at NeNe Leakes, Says She Needs a ‘Decent Wig’ & ‘More Flattering Makeup’

LoveBScott.com:
NeNe Leakes didn’t have the most flattering things to say about her former BFF Cynthia Bailey on Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ earlier this week.

In her new blog for Bravo.com, Cynthia Bailey shared her thoughts on NeNe’s rude remarks.
She writes:

That’s who she is. It’s the same ol’ two step. Embrace the people that are with you and try to destroy the people who are not. I have seen her do it to other ladies on the show (past and present), so although it was disappointing, it was not a big surprise when she did it to me. It’s no secret that NeNe has gotten into it or fallen out (at one time or the other) with mostly all the ladies. My thing is this — if I’m so irrelevant and you don’t want to be my storyline (or should I say me be yours), why spend so much energy talking about me? That energy could have been put to better use looking for a decent wig and a more flattering makeup direction.

Not a ‘decent looking wig’ though.

Cynthia also talks about her journey since the last season, her and her husband’s successful business ventures, and finding new strength in her marriage.

Andy Cohen Claims Felons Teresa and Joe Giudice Are ‘In Complete Denial’ In New Tell-All Book

RadarOnline.com:
Andy Cohen may have defended longtime pals Teresa and Joe Giudice on EXTRA earlier this month— but in his revealing new book, the Watch What Happens Live host and Bravo honcho shares his true feelings about the convicted felon couple.

In a September 22, 2013 entry in his diary-style read The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look At a Shallow Year, Cohen recalls interviewing the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars that day about their shocking indictment on 39 counts of fraud.

“It was like pulling teeth,” the outspoken star, 46, says. “They are either very un-introspective or in complete denial. Or both.”

Cohen then notes that the ditzy twosome didn’t seem to fully comprehend the cold hard consequences of their illegal behavior.

“I said, ‘So…you guys are facing fifty years in prison, and they were like, ‘Is it fifty years? We thought it was a hundred. Is it fifty years both or just one or…’” he writes. “So that’s something they are going to want to clarify with their attorneys.”

In March, Teresa and Joe, both 42— who originally faced 50 years each behind bars— plead guilty to the charges in a plea deal, and were sentenced to 15 months and 41 months respectively in October.

The parents to four daughters sat down with Cohen post-sentencing to publicly discuss their fate.
“I mean, it was very unexpected, I don’t even know what to say,” Teresa said.

Jacqueline Laurita Says 'It's Been Positive Being Away' from "Real Housewives of New Jersey"

People.com:
After five seasons on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jacqueline Laurita knew it was time to take a break from reality TV.

"It was just very stressful," she tells PEOPLE. "So I agreed to do it part-time. It's been positive being away from the craziness of the show."

While the mom of three still appears in the show's sixth season, she's been focusing her time on family, including son Nicholas, who was diagnosed with autism in 2012.

"He is doing so good," Laurita, 44, says. "He is making progress. It's definitely a long process, but when I look back to where he was last year or the year before, he has come such a long way."

Now, with her RHONJ schedule a little lighter, Laurita is getting even more involved in the autism community.

She recently teamed up with ROXO, which is donating 11 percent of its Christmas box set sales to Generation Rescue, a nonprofit that brings hope, information and immediate treatment to those affected by autism.

And the organization holds a special place in her heart.

"When we first suspected that Nicholas had autism, there was a three-month waiting period to get in to see our developmental pediatrician," Laurita says. "We met with Generation Rescue and Jenny McCarthy, and they were so hands-on. They have always guided us and given us the support and so much information."

‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Has Biggest Bravo Debut Ever As It Kicks Off Season 7

Variety.com:
Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” came back strong Sunday, racking up the best numbers ever for a season premiere on the network.

Nielsen estimates that the seventh-season bow of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” averaged a 1.8 rating/5 share in adults 18-49 (about 2.2 million in this age group) and 3.83 million viewers overall in the 8 o’clock hour. “RHOA” was up more than 20% vs. its year-ago premiere in both 18-49 and total viewers.

In adults 18-49, it topped all of cable for the 8 o’clock hour and also beat out CBS’ “Madam Secretary” (1.4/4). And in women 18-49, its 2.8 rating/7 share put it second among all non-sports programs on television, behind only ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” (3.2/8).

Before Sunday’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” premiere, the “RH of New Jersey” season 3 premiere in May 2011 was Bravo’s highest-rated premiere among adults 18-49 (with 2.02 million); and the “RH of Atlanta” season 5 premiere was the most-watched premiere among total viewers (3.23 million).

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” also stood as the No. 1 most social reality program on Sunday night with 171,000 tweets. This marked Bravo’s most social season premiere since Nielsen SocialGuide began tracking social activity in October 2011.
And somewhere Kim Zolciak is reading this and totally smirking.

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" Reunion Part 3 Recap: Dina Manzo's Not Returning, Teresa Giudice Talks Post-Prison Life and Apologizes to Fans

USmagazine.com:
Keep the Kleenex handy, folks: The final installment of the Real Housewives of New Jersey sit-down is a tearjerker. "This is probably gonna be my last reunion," Teresa Giudice, struggling not to cry, tells Andy Cohen. The host himself is visibly affected, replying to Teresa, "I'm getting a little emotional with you."

Come January, the RHONJ star is set to report to federal prison to serve a 15-month sentence for bank and mail fraud. "I just want to apologize to all my fans out there that I let down," she says when Cohen asks her what she learned this season. "Through all this, I'm gonna make myself a better person."

She and Andy reminisce about some of her most memorable moments from her six seasons on the show. Teresa says the scene she's most proud of is when she gave birth to daughter Audriana, 5, in season 1. When Andy brings up her infamous table flip (quick recap: at a dinner party, Teresa exploded when nemesis Danielle Staub told her to "pay attention, puh-leez!") Teresa replies, "I can't believe I did that! Season 1 was fun."

The New York Times bestselling cookbook author is also looking toward the future. She says she's most frightened about being away from her four girls when she goes away — "I wish I could take my daughters with me," she says — and is already thinking about post-prison life. "Maybe you'll see me on a cooking show," says Teresa. "I'd like to do something else. You never know."

Teresa's best friend Dina Manzo says that the Giudices will thrive once they get through this. (When Teresa is sprung from prison in 2016, her husband, Joe, will begin serving his 41-month sentence for fraud.) "She's gonna survive, and five years from now," says Dina, "they're gonna be better than ever."

Season 6 might be the last time viewers see Dina on Housewives, too. The party planner quit the series midway through season 2 and returned this year. When Cohen asks her what she learned this season, Dina replies, "Once you walk away from something, remember why you did."

A visibly surprised Cohen asks Dina if she regrets returning. "I don't like all the fighting, he said-she said," she replies. "It doesn’t sit well with my soul." Pressing her further, Andy asks if she would she do it again. Dina curtly replies, "No."

Phaedra Parks Defends Skipping Husband Apollo Nida’s Sentencing — ‘The Marriage Was Over!’

RadarOnline.com:
As Phaedra Parks continues to wrap up her divorce from incarcerated Apollo Nida, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is insisting she was a devoted wife to the end. Despite the fact that she skipped his fraud sentencing earlier this year, and distanced herself from her husband as soon as his legal issues became public, the reality star says their marriage issues went much deeper — and RadarOnline.com has all the details!

As Radar reported, Nida was first implicated in a massive fraud scheme in January, after which he and Parks were rarely photographed together.

In her new Bravo blog, she explained the distance as the result of her busy schedule. “I received my mortuary science degree this summer after attending school full-time for two years,” she wrote. I have also been on a national book tour to promote the paperback release of Secrets of the Southern Belle, which has given me the opportunity to meet supporters across the country whose love and support has been much appreciated. And of course I’ve been spending lots of time with Ayden and Dylan; being a mother is always my first priority and a true labor of love.”

As for Nida’s legal issues, she wrote, “Words cannot express the turmoil this situation has caused our family, and I can’t even begin to articulate how hard it has been. When you face a situation like this, you can choose to either break down or stay strong; I chose to stay strong because I have two young children that need a parent to give them stability and keep the ship sailing.”

“I’ve been criticized for not being at Apollo’s hearing, but the truth is I had been there for him in so many ways for such a long time,” she continued. “By the time all of this went down, it was apparent the marriage was over and my focus needed to be exclusively on the wellbeing of our children. I don’t think there’s a parent out there who wouldn’t agree.”

She’s since filed for divorce, and Parks said the experience has taught her who her true allies are among her fellow housewives.

“NeNe and Porsha have been extremely supportive of me and very attentive throughout this entire ordeal, and for that I am extremely grateful,” she revealed. “Unfortunately, some of the others decided to use my personal crisis as an opportunity to further their own interests and talk to the media to get press for themselves. The lack of compassion was, at times, shocking.”
Phaedra was wrong in my book. Apollo did some dastardly deeds and has no one to blame but himself for being locked up. But regardless of what problems are going on in the marriage, if you're still his wife you don't take the kids out the country and bail on your husband like that  You're a man knowing you're about to be locked up for years in prison and there can't be a lonelier feeling then then looking behind you and not seeing your family there.

Nene Leakes Says She’ll Visit Good Pal Teresa Giudice In Jail

RadarOnline.com:
Teresa Giudice shouldn’t be surprised to see NeNe Leakes on visiting day when she enters jail next year, as the Real Housewives of Atlanta centerpiece opened up on her friendship with her New Jersey counterpart on Sunday’s edition of Watch What Happens Live.

“I would even visit her [in jail,] I really would,” NeNe told host Andy Cohen, adding that she’s planning on grabbing a drink with Teresa before the mother-of-four begins her 15-month sentence in her fraud conviction Jan. 5.

“I feel bad for her,” said Leakes, who was promoting the new season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta following the show’s season premiere. “I feel like when Teresa calls me, she knows she’s going to get real true advice.”

NeNe said she’s given Teresa guidance on various matters, but declined to get too specific as to the topics they discuss.

“I don’t want to say her business out there.”

NeNe said she didn’t call Teresa immediately following her Oct. 2 sentencing because of how chaotic she figured things would be for the fellow housewife.

“When I spoke to her I said ‘I know so many people were going to text you and call you and I didn’t want to be that person,’” she told Cohen.

Cynthia Bailey Talks Season 7 of RHOA, Friendship with NeNe Leakes and Apollo Nida’s Arrest

Essence.com:
For Cynthia Bailey, season 7 of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta (premiering this Sunday) is a chance for viewers to see the more outspoken side of her. “I feel like I'm just at the point where I don't have the patience that I used to,” she tells ESSENCE.com. We spoke to the model and reality star about why she still gets jitters before each season premiere, the state of her friendship with NeNe Leakes, and why she feels bad for Apollo Nida.

Do you still get jitters before each season starts?
You know what? This is my fifth year and I still do get the jitters especially this season. It's going to be a little bit different for me. In the previous season, I had my crew, and now things have changed and you guys will see that. New friends. That's definitely a big change for me going into the new season.

What about that gives you the jitters?
Well, I think that people get really attached to seeing the relationships and friendships. When the dynamics of the relationship changes some people are going to like it and some people aren’t going to like it. I always get the, ‘Aw, I wish you guys were friends are again,’ or the ‘Thank God you guys aren’t friends.’ It's just always interesting to just see how things play out on the show.

From the first episode we can see you are way more outspoken.
This is the thing; I've never been a pushover. I've always tried to take the high road in situations. Let’s just say I don't always do that this season. I felt like sometimes taking the high road does not always work for this group. I'm definitely a little more outspoken. I'm tired. Tired. I feel like I'm just at the point where I don't have the patience that I used to and it either is just working for me or it's not working for me and if it's not then I don't have any problems saying, ‘This situation is not working for me anymore.’

Has your relationship with NeNe been repaired since the reunion? Do you care to repair it?
Toward the beginning of this season I was very hurt by some of the things that happened toward the end of our friendship. Despite it all I'm still optimistic that we could at least just be cool, cordial, and still have fun together. Not be besties, but just have that respect for each other as women and just agree to just coexist.

Were the cameras not rolling and were this not part of a story line on a reality show, do you think this is a friendship that you would have fought this hard for?
Like I said at the reunion, you just come to the end of the road with people. I think that we just ... I don’t know. I don't want to say we outgrew each other. I don’t know what the right word is, but basically we just kind of came to the end of the road. Obviously, NeNe is not the only friend I've ever had in my life. I've had other girlfriends in my life and sometimes you go through things together and you don't really recover from them, and it's not even a bad thing. Sometimes it's okay to move on past friendships.

What do you think when I say Phaedra and Apollo?
I think there's a lot when it comes to Phaedra and Apollo. I guess the first thing that comes to mind is ‘complicated.’ There’s so much you just don't know about that relationship. I just don't understand a lot of it. So, I would say complicated.

Were you following his trial and sentencing?
Peter definitely followed it probably closer than I did. But, being cast mates with Apollo, I think we were all pretty much abreast to the occurrences of everything that was happening all the way up until he went in.

I'm sure you were just as shocked as the rest of the world.
I actually felt really bad. I felt really bad for him. It was just an unfortunate situation especially with him being incarcerated before. But, he did the crime and he's doing his time. He's a young guy, hopefully when he comes out he will be able to really turn his life around in a positive direction.

You and Peter seem to be in a really good space this season.
We are in a good space. One of the things that you guys always get to see between my husband and I is our real relationship. It's a real marriage. We have real issues and we're real people. We're at a great time in our life right now. It’s been four years; the marriage is settled in and I think we really understand each other. We don't expect our life to be perfect and I'm able to roll with the punches a little better than I was before as a newlywed

At one point you say not being friends with NeNe was better for your relationship with Peter. How?
I had put a lot of energy into my friendship with NeNe and I think what ended up happening for me—and I'm speaking for me on my side of the friendship—some of the energy that I was pouring into my friendship with her I should have been pouring into my marriage. Some friends are just needier than others, and I'm not trying to say anything bad about NeNe. I'm just saying I put a lot of energy into that relationship. And, I felt like once that relationship went away I had all this time to pour into my life and my husband and my kid.

Soap Opera Star Eileen Davidson Describes Filming "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" As ‘Very Exciting’

Inquisitr.com:
When the new season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres on Tuesday, November 18, there will be two new cast members who may seem familiar to television viewers. Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna will both join the cast of RHOBH this season.

Davidson is very familiar with the catty drama associated with RHOBH as she has starred in daytime soap operas Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. Davidson has played Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless since 1984, and Kristen DiMera on Days of Our Lives since 1993. According to a report on Soap Opera Network, Davidson left her role on DoOL on November 6.

Davidson, 55, also played Ashley Abbott on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2007 to 2008 and she is the only actress to have played three different characters on two shows on the same day. Davidson described filming RHOBH as “nerve wrecking” when she was interviewed on Bravo’s TV show The Dish, according to a report by the Music Times.
It’s so surreal. But also very exciting and a little nerve wracking. I’m used to scripts when I’m being filmed so this has been a new experience! It’s like being on a roller coaster, and you can all take the ride with me!
The New York Post reported that an advanced look at season 5 showed that Davidson and the other wives will have some tension between them as reports of slaps, wine glasses being thrown, and fights among the cast have already made entertainment news. The Inquisitr reported that Davidson’s fellow cast newcomer and soap star, Rinna, allegedly pushed Kim Richards at a party and, in another incident, she threw a wine glass at her.

Rinna is a long-time friend of Richards’ sister Kyle, who also appears on the show. Brandi Glanville, Lisa Vanderpump and Yolanda Foster are the other “housewives” appearing on the show with Rinna and Davidson.

While some of the husbands of the RHOBH cast often appear on the show, there isn’t any indication if Davidson’s husband, Vincent Van Patten, will appear on it. However, according to TV Guide, Rinna’s husband, actor Harry Hamlin, may be set to appear on the show with her.

Kenya Moore Reveals Why She Wants to Work for Donald Trump, Talks ‘Drunk,’ ‘Idiot’ Brandi Glanville

TheWrap.com:
Bravo's “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore will join “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville on NBC's “Celebrity Apprentice” this season, and she's expecting the Hollywood socialite to be “an irritant.”

“I think Brandi's sole reason for joining the show was to be an irritant toward me,” Moore said during TheWrap's newest episode of “Drinking with the Stars.”

Glanville told E! News last week that she considered Moore to be “pure evil,” but Moore shot back that the “RHOBH” star was probably just “looking in the mirror.”

While Moore thinks Glanville is just after the attention and drama that reality television inevitably invokes, Moore promises more noble intentions behind her decision to work for Donald Trump.

“My purpose of being there was to really get some knowledge and skills, and just have a better sense of the business world,” Moore said. “Brandi's sole purpose of being there is probably to just be drunk and act an idiot.”
