NeNe got real about all things money during her conversation with InStyle,
revealing that she's a bargain shopper, hitting up discount stores like
Neiman Marcus Last Call, Nordstrom Rack, and T.J. Maxx for most of her
fashion needs.
But her favorite is the Dollar Store. "I love it there. I really wish I could open one up," she told InStyle.
"If you want some good-ass wine glasses, you go to the Dollar Store.
Most wine glasses are very thin and break when you put them in the
dishwasher. Well honey, the Dollar Store has got some thick ones, same
with martini glasses. Whenever I have a party at my house, I go buy
boxes of plain white plates there too. The sales person always looks at
me and goes, 'Oh my gosh, that’s NeNe Leakes at the Dollar Store!' I’m
like, don’t worry about me. You can have all of this expensive stuff at
your party, but your guests will be eating off of Dollar Store plates
and they don't even know it."
So what does NeNe splurge on? "I can tell you what's worth a
splurge to me: eating. People like to talk about going to clubs and
stuff, like my club is the restaurant. I'm the girl that orders
everything off the menu. One of this, one of that, I want to taste
everything. I like to splurge on rounds and rounds of good cocktails
too," she shared. "I also spend a lot on my vacations. I fly first
class, but honestly I would rather fly coach in order to have a great
hotel. You don't really know if any of them are clean, so I want to
sleep in a nice hotel and order good room service."
Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill have teased that their close friendship is not what it used to be, both on The Real Housewives of New York City and in interviews since this season began. And now that the new season of RHONY is airing, Bethenny and Carole are getting a chance to see what the other has said about their relationship on the show.
In fact, Carole has already responded to one of Bethenny's comments that she made during an interview on RHONY
in which she claimed that Carole always needs to have a best friend by
her side. "No, it's not true. Everything that Bethenny says about me is
not true," Carole said during the April 25 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"That wasn't the friendship I was having with her at the time, so I was
just as surprised as the audience was to hear all of that. I was just
being a really good friend, wrote a lot of checks for her charity."
So when Bethenny appeared on WWHL Wednesday night, Andy Cohen
asked her for her thoughts on Carole's response. Bethenny confirmed
that "there was a shift" in her friendship with Carole. She also teased
that "it gets more intense" this season.
After two seasons on the “Real Housewives of New York,” model turned fashion blogger Kristen Taekman is thoroughly enjoying this year’s catfights from the comforts of her couch.
“I think that this current cast is probably the best they’ve ever
had,” Taekman, 41, recently told Page Six. “I think that it takes
everyone a couple years to get used to everyone, and I love that they
didn’t add anyone new. I caught up the other day, and this is the most
amazing chemistry, ever. I think they finally found the right formula of
personalities, and I’m excited to see what unfolds.”
Although the cameras aren’t documenting her every move anymore, Takeman re-emerged in the press following 2015’s Ashley Madison scandal in which it was revealed her husband Josh had an account on the site which matches users looking to have an affair.
“We went to therapy on the show, and I think that when couples are
married and then they have small kids, everything shifts, and I’m sure
it’ll shift again, once the kids grow up and go to college, and I think
we were going through a shift,” Taekman said of their time on
“Housewives.”
“I think it was good for us to sit back and kind of check in with
where we were and made us definitely much stronger as a couple. Kind of
coming out the other end of it, I feel like it really puts you to the
test in a really good way, I think that’s what we did, and we’re
stronger for it,” she continued.
Despite no longer being on “Housewives,” Taekman continues to give fans a glimpse into her life and closet with the style site, Last Night’s Look.
“It’s really turned into a full-time job, which is super
exciting,” Taekman explained. “It started off as a hobby, to tell the
fans of the show where I got all of my fun looks. In the last two years,
it’s really taken off. I work on it every day, and it’s this really fun
job.”
A shocking video of an inebriated Countess Luann de Lesseps telling cops she is going to kill them while being arrested and buckled into a police car has surfaced online.
The footage was filmed by an in-car camera when the Real Housewives of New York star was arrested on Christmas Eve last year in Palm Beach, Florida.
In the video she can be heard protesting, “I’ve done nothing wrong! I’ve
done nothing wrong,” before she is taken out of the car, apparently to
have her handcuffs adjusted. From outside of the car she can be heard saying, “Oh my God I’m gonna
get you, I’m gonna get you big time, you’re gonna b… so bad, you gonna
be so bad. I’ve done nothing wrong and you’re handcuffing me. Guess
what?”
Another voice can be heard saying, “What?”
She
is then pushed back into the car, and says, “I want my shoes and my bag
and my stuff. Stop touching—don’t touch me. I am going to kill you!
I’ll kill you! I will kill you! For what? What did I do?”
