Damn, the times must really be getting desperate for Sheree:
Another day, another reality star releasing a single. The latest foray into the growing genre? A pop masterpiece courtesy of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield.RELATED: The Real Housewives Of Atlanta Recap: Don’t Love It When You Say I Have A Big Poppa
The single, just released on Dec. 16, is titled "Who Gon' Check Me Boo?" in a reference to Sheree's now-infamous quote. The song's instrumentation is actually built on a sped-up sample of Sheree's "Who gon check me, boo?" dialogue — a pretty impressive bit of self-referentiality. Not to mention — the beat is kinda fire.
And while we hate to extrapolate, it's hard not to think that the song might be directed at Sheree's ex-friend NeNe Leakes, the two of whom have been feuding all season long. Lyrics like, "Thinking that you're hotter is straight foolery/If you don't know think you better go and Google me" or "Before you say anything else to me, go and fix your grill," or especially, "Sayin' that you're rich but I know that's all a mirage/Stuntin' like you a star/You need to quit it girl, stop." Gulp.
Still, we can't shade Sheree too much for wanting to cash in on her well-loved sassitude. She may not have Kandi's musical prowess or Trump checks to fall back in, but if the single earns her some paper, who are we to judge? Listen to the track here, and if you want to keep Sheree in Louboutins, pick up the single on iTunes.
