Larsa Pippen Brings Heat

SunTimes.com:

While Bravo passed on creating a "Real Housewives of Chicago" -- and a locally produced copycat concept didn't materialize -- there will be a new "Housewives" series with a slight Chicago connection.

Retired Bulls great Scottie Pippen's wife, Larsa, is part of the lineup Bravo will showcase in ''The Real Housewives of Miami,'' a show the cable channel originally had planned as a somewhat different reality show initially titled ''Miami Social Club.''

However, a longtime pal of Pippen's says the newly inducted NBA Hall of Famer was less than enthusiastic about his wife being part of the Miami show's mix.

''As everyone knows, Scottie is a very private guy -- especially about his personal life. ... It took a lot of convincing and cajoling to get Scottie to get on board this project,'' said the source.
''But Larsa really wanted to do it, so he finally gave in.''
Notice that a couple of the Miami "Housewives" are basketball wives, wonder if that has anything to do with VH1's "Basketball Wives" show? Hmmm.
