The reality series, ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ has made Danielle Staub a household name. But a former acquaintance says he saved her life and kept her out of the big house when her drug deal went wrong.
During a mammoth deposition last month in Diamond Bar, California, former drug cartel kingpin Daniel Aguilar told police he met Staub in the 80’s when she worked as hooker in Florida and called herself ‘Angela Minelli.’
Aguilar says Staub joined his division of the infamous Medellin drug cartel, for whom he was an enforcer. And she would frequently hang out at his safe-house, smoking marijuana joints which she sprinkled with cocaine.
Aguilar says he saw Danielle do “more than 50 or 100″ such joints.
“We became intimate friends,” he told Police. “Then she came to me and said, ‘I have this guy and he wants to buy four kilos of cocaine.”
Staub got the drugs, but she later claimed the entire $100,000 bundle was stolen during the deal. And that got her marked by the cartel for disposal.
“Even my men were saying, ‘We should just kill her. She’s nothing but a prostitute and a b**ch.’” Aguilar recalled.
