Stacie Turner Has The Same Views On Gay Marriage That Barack Obama Has

So what is Paul Wharton not going to vote for Obama unless he changes his mind about gay marriage too? I hate it when people try to impose their personal beliefs on others, so count me in the group that says that Paul Wharton and Lynda Erkiletian are big hypocrites for coming down on Stacie, her husband, clueless Mary and anyone else who believes that marriage is between a man and a woman. If there's one thing people should know about Christians, esp. Black Christians, is that when it comes to the Bible, they have strict interpretations of it. For Black Christians the Bible is the authoritative word of God. So put word's God's word vs. the words of gay activists and 99% of the time God is going to win. Listen, I get that Bravo is pro-gay, but honestly I don't care because I don't watch "Housewives" for that. I watch it for the women, the drama, bickering, fights and feel-good stories. I watch it because it's fun. If Bravo wants to get serious sometimes that's fine too, but when you're dealing with politics or other issues of importance I think that Bravo needs to do a better job at presenting both sides of the issue, instead of trying to make good people like Stacie Turner (who is clearly a very tolerant person) out to be something she's not.

  1. I totally agree with you about Stacie Turner! She is a great Christian woman, and Bravo made her out to be a horrible person! I proud of her for standing up in what she believes in, and still being a lady in the midst of it all.

  2. Brain washed bible zombies need to get over their book for fairy tales. It's 2010!

  3. Religion was also used to excuse/defend racist beliefs. Many used religion to defend their position on mixed race marriage.

And Bravo did not make Stacie Turner seem like a horrible person. She did that to herself. Don't blame editing. It's a cop out.

Oh so in your world anyone who doesn't believe in gay marriage is "horrible", but I bet that you wouldn't have the guts to say that about Obama. Funny how the people who claim to be "tolerant" are usually the least tolerant in the bunch.

  5. As a black Christian, I deplore when other Christians pick and choose which sin is worse/acceptable. Black Christians are NOT by the book when it comes to the Bible. We can argue against gay marriage but are silent when it comes to divorce. If you are against gay marriage, that is one thing. But don't bring the Bible into your argument when there are so many other sins committed on a daily basis: adultery, divorce, gossip (like this blog), owing debtors, premarital sex, children out of wedlock, ...... I could go on.
