Bravo Lays The Smackdown On Tareq And Michaele Salahi

TVOvermind.com:
Bravo’s message to the Salahis: Stop Lying On Us! Or Else…

Uh Oh.

The Salahis’ might have ticked off the wrong person, and that wrong person happens to be the hand cutting the checks for their services on The Real Housewives of D.C.

Yesterday, we reported on the release of a new book by Diane Dimond named “Cirque du Salahi: Be Careful Who You Trust”, which claimed that the Salahis’ hasn’t said a peep about the infamous (and kinda played out) White House ‘Gate Crashing’ debacle due to “iron-clad” contracts set in by Bravo, forcing the Salahis’ into remaining mum about the incident.

Not so fast, says Bravo.

In a statement released to Pop Eater yesterday, Bravo voiced their ire and annoyance at the Salahis’ claims:

“From the time of the incident until now, Bravo and Half Yard Productions, the producer of the series, have consistently and repeatedly stated to the Salahis and their representatives that they were free to speak to press, law enforcement, Congress and anyone else about attending the State Dinner. Indeed, they have given multiple press interviews on that very subject.”

Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

But, wait! There’s more!

Pop Eater’s Rob Shuter has now revealed that this latest stunt in the Salahis repertoire of crazy antics has Bravo so furious that there is talks of them not coming back next year, citing an inside source who says the Salahis has only brought the show “bad press.”

“At first, execs thought they struck gold with all the attention the couple got over the White House dinner,” the insider revealed to Pop Eater. “But now they realize not all press is good press and this couple’s involvement in the show has turned more viewers off than on.”
The suits at Bravo may've gotten in way over their heads when they selected the Salahi's for RHODC, but without them the show would be pretty boring (I like the other castmates, but let's be real). It's a catch-22.
