They’re back!I'll give the new season of RHOA a chance, but I can't say that I'm too excited as I was a huge fan of Lisa Wu and have long grown of Nene's over-the-top theatrics and just general all-around rudeness.
Despite reports that Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes were going to be fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the two frenemies will return for a third season of Bravo’s hit show. And while Lisa Wu Hartwell is out, there are two new Housewives joining the cast.
Cynthia Bailey and Phaedra Parks will make their debut when the series returns Oct. 4, Bravo announced Thursday, with plenty of drama to come. Get acquainted with Atlanta‘s new stars and then watch a preview of the upcoming season below.
Alabama-born Bailey, a model who worked the runways of Paris and Milan, risks losing her boyfriend of three years, Peter Thomas, after he issues her an ultimatum. She leans on NeNe, a close friend, as both struggle through relationship issues this season. Bailey’s career credits also include staring in a movie opposite Sandra Bernhardt and having a guest spot on The Cosby Show. She’s also mom to 10-year-old daughter Noelle.
Parks isn’t exactly greeted with open arms when she arrives on the Real Housewives scene. The entertainment attorney’s marriage to a younger husband, Apollo, sparks gossip because of his prison stint for a “white collar crime.” A self-proclaimed “Southerne Belle,” Parks is involved with multiple charities when she’s not running her Atlanta-based boutique law firm. This Housewife is also expecting her first child with Apollo.
As for the other ladies, they’re all continuing to pursue their various careers. NeNe scores a gig as an entertainment reporter for a local news station, Kim is focusing on music and so is Kandi, who’s struggling after the loss of her fiancé. Meanwhile, Sheree has a found a new passion — for acting.
phaedra based on her performance on the show is the most ghetto of all the ladies. her husdband does not know what fork to eat his food with. it is apparent that she settled with him. he is a joke and they are perfectly match. i leave the room when she is on, ballerina at a baby shower please!!!!
