Among the many moms angered by Gisele Bundchen's recent comments about mandating breast-feeding, one new mom in particular had some choice words for the supermodel.Just when you thought being a new mom would calm Bethenny down....
"Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel, who gave birth to daughter Bryn in May, spoke out against Bundchen's remarks made to Harper's Bazaar UK, in which the model said, "There should be a worldwide law … that mothers should breast-feed their babies for six months."
"It's the most absurd thing I've ever heard," Frankel, 39, quipped to Us Weekly. "Breast-feeding is one of the most rewarding experiences, but it isn't for everyone."
Soon after Bundchen made her controversial comments, critics slammed the Brazilian beauty for her insensitivity toward other mothers with opposing beliefs. Following the uproar, she took to her blog to defend her beliefs.
"My intention in making a comment about the importance of breast-feeding has nothing to do with the law," wrote Bundchen, who welcomed son Benjamin in December with her husband, Tom Brady. "I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge.
"I believe that bringing a life into this world is the single most important thing a person can undertake and it can also be the most challenging. I think as mothers we are all just trying our best."
