The ladies of Hotlanta are pretty strong in their social media game, and we love them for it! In fact, there’s rarely a holiday or birthday that goes by without all of the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast sounding off on Twitter or Instagram. The latest? Pretty much everyone, from NeNe Leakes to Kandi Burruss, took a moment on the special day to shoutout either their own fathers, or the fathers of their children (aka their hubbies). Notably absent from this list?
Phaedra Parks, who made a point to commend the role of fathers in general, but chose not to mention husband Apollo Nida by name.
“Happy Father's Day to all dads & moms playing dual roles!! #HappyFathersDay,” she posted to Instagram on June 15.
Additionally, Phaedra posted a ton on Twitter during the day, promoting her recent appearances on radio shows Hot 107.9 Atlanta and Dish Nation, yet she still didn’t mention her legally troubled baby daddy in the middle of all that. So what gives?
Phaedra and Apollo have been open about the struggles in their marriage, even admitting to attending couples therapy. Much of this discord stems from Apollo’s ongoing legal issues, following his guilty plea to bank and wire fraud. He’s scheduled to be sentenced in early July.
It should be noted, however, that Apollo did spend time with his elder son Ayden, 4, on the holiday. The Househusband took to Instagram to share pics of himself during the father-son fishing trip, writing, “Out fishing with my son on Father's Day.”
