We knew that Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s prenup was a sticking point for Mama Joyce, but we didn’t know the couple themselves were so preoccupied with it all. Todd’s been dragging his feet a bit all season, but the two really get into it on this Sunday’s June 22 episode and it’s a fight like we’ve never seen between the normally lovely couple!RELATED: Kandi Burruss REFUSES To Do Reunion For ‘Kandi’s Wedding’
In the sneak peek from Bravo, we see Todd confront Kandi about his issues with the actual wording of the prenup. Though he initially blames his lawyer, saying he found issues in the wording, his former Xscape singer fiance isn’t having it.
“You’ve got what you’ve got, and I’ve got what I’ve got? It’s cut and dry,” Kandi insists.
“There’s other things in there,” Todd fires back. Like what exactly? Well, Todd’s not pleased with the concept that, should the worst happen, he’s got to get out of the house in 30 days. He wants time to find a place! But Kandi’s not buying it.
“Todd can say whatever he wants about it not being about the money, and that’s why he doesn’t like the prenup. But meanwhile, his attorney is sending notes and all those notes are about money,” Kandi vents to the Bravo cameras.
The Housewife then points out they already had a conversation about “how they think things should flow,” but now, Todd is suddenly going rogue and blaming “his lawyer.”
“So you think you should get some of my money?” Kandi says, visibly pissed, and you better believe that sets Todd off. “I don’t want your f—ing money, man! Damn. That’s all y’all think about is money — you, your mama, all y’all.”
From there, Todd storms out and tells Carmon, “I don’t think there’s gonna be no wedding.” Yikes! While we know the wedding did indeed happen, we’re still unsure how they were able to overcome such a major dispute.
