Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson has endured a lot of drama centered on her relationship with Brooks Ayers over the years. But is she still seeing him?
Vicki and Brooks appeared to part ways during the Season 9 Reunion. During the episode, Brooks is confronted by Vicki's daughter Briana over a recording of Brooks saying that he wanted to beat Vicki and that Briana's husband should do the same to Briana.RELATED: Vicki Gunvalson Hangs With Former 'RHOC' Co-Star Alexis Bellino
However, Vicki tells the Daily Mail that she and Brooks are still romantic to this day. Surprising, right?
"We are still seeing each other from time to time," Vicki says. "He lives in a different state — but he was wrongfully abused on the show, both by other cast members and my daughter [Briana]."
"They magnified the truth," Vicki explains. "I wouldn’t be with someone who didn’t treat me right, who didn’t treat me like a princess, and I don’t need to be protected."
Vicki points out that she's able to handle herself, saying, "I mean, I’m 51 — I’ve got this!"
She admits that they did break up for a bit, but they couldn't stay apart. "We tried breaking up, and it didn’t really work for us," Vicki says. "But I’m just dating him — we’re not married or engaged — and dating someone is how you find out about them."
"I know my daughter worries, but she’s only met him four times, and in any case, we each have our own lives to lead — we can’t lead anyone else’s life for them," she adds. "Other people have their opinions, but I really, really care for this man."
