Caroline Manzo's Husband Albert Sued For Bigotry and Unfair Pay

NJ.com:
Albert Manzo, the husband of Caroline Manzo on "Real Housewives of New Jersey," is being sued by a former employee for harassment and failure to pay overtime, according to a report on DailyNews.com

An ex-waitress from Manzo's catering hall, the Brownstone in Paterson, claims that her former boss taunted her with racial slurs and failed to pay overtime.

The server, Lanise Jackson, filed a complaint with the Superior Court of New Jersey in Passaic County on Dec. 2.

In the court papers, Jackson said that she quit her job in November due to "the racial, sexual, ethnic and country of origin epithets hurled at her hourly."

In the lawsuit, Jackson alleged that during one incident, Manzo said, "Are you blind?" 'What are you, Chinese?' Open your eyes."

The catering facility, which has been featured in episodes of "Real Housewives," is described as "filthy" and "roach infested" in the court documents.

Jackson is suing both Manzo and his brother, Thomas for creating a hostile work environment. She was employed by the brothers for two years, according to the lawsuit, and frequently worked in excess of 40 hours a week without being compensated for overtime.

Manzo told the Daily News that the allegations are untrue and he is considering filing a counter suit for defamation of character.
