'Good Morning America' Spinoff: Jill Zarin Blogs About Joining 'Good Afternoon America'

HuffPo.com:
JIll Zarin has some "great news" to share: The former "Real Housewives of New York" star blogged that she's joining ABC's "Good Morning America" spinoff, "Good Afternoon America."

While celebrating the Fourth of July, Zarin wrote the following on her blog:
"Hollywood called" again. Well not exactly ... it was a producer from GMA. I was asked to be a special correspondent on ... Good AFTERNOON America, that will air live from Times Square daily ... I am doing a weekly reality show segment on Wednesdays at 2pm ... giving my opinion on reality shows.
The afternoon spinoff of "Good Morning America" was officially announced in May and will be co-hosted by "GMA" regulars Lara Spencer and Josh Elliott. "Good Afternoon America" launches on Monday, July 9 and will focus firmly on the lighter side of the news, with musical performances, pop culture updates and "original entertainment, lifestyle, health, workplace and consumer reporting."

Zarin added that her first segment, which will air on Wednesday, July 11, will cover reality TV programs like "America's Got Talent, "The Bachelorette" and perhaps, even a "Housewives" show.

"It is part time and yet still gives me an opportunity to talk to all of you every week and keep it real. I love that I am "LIVE," Zarin blogged. "You never know what I will come up with right?"

Tune in to "Good Afternoon America" for its debut on Monday, July 9 at 2 p.m. ET on ABC.
