Vicki Gunvalson Says She Regrets Joining ‘Real Housewives Of Orange County’: The Show Broke Up My Family!

RadarOnline.com:
In a candid new interview, Real Housewives of Orange Country star Vicki Gunvalson is blaming the hit reality show for destroying her family.
Despite signing up for eight seasons of RHOC, the veteran Bravolebrity star has some regrets about appearing on the show.
“I think that my family would still be together. There’s some really great things that have come from the show, but one of the downsides was that it broke up my family, and that’s tough to take,” she told Digital Spy.
The 51-year-old admitted the show was the main reason she split with her husband Donn Gunvalson in 2010, after a 19-year union.
“I think the show had a lot to do with me getting divorced. I think it was too much pressure on a weak marriage. I wonder where Donn and I would be now if we didn’t do the show. But we elected to do the show together as a family. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for us,” she explained.
As one of the longest standing Real Housewives in the franchise, Gunvalson has experienced plenty of drama and admitted she’s thought about quitting the show “every year.”
“It’s not easy to be judged, to be ridiculed, to be talked down to,” she says.
So why does she continue to return?
“I’m not a quitter, and I feel like the viewers still want to see me. My story’s not over. I try to bring some good to the show, as best as I can, to inspire single women,” she adds.
Vicki's full of it and obviously looking for a scapegoat for why her marriage with Donn ended bad as well as her last relationship with Brooks. Over the years viewers have certainly noticed how wacky and selfish Vicki can be and she's an admitted workaholic (which according to her and Donn himself, contributed greatly to her marriage not working out) and with Brooks, she should've just listened more to the people around her who knew that he wasn't a good guy. RHOC had little to do with breaking up her family, if anything it just highlighted the problems that were going to end things anyway.

  1. Wow! Vicki's ability to blame ANYBODY else for her problems is astounding. Her brain is so wired for denial and deflection that her only hope is to have a total brain transplant. I suggest Donn hurry up, sign those divorce papers and cash those sweet, sweet spousal support checks -- he deserves every single one of them.

  2. She said it was a weak relationship and how often do we read that marriages with cracks and reality tv don't do well. Is the judgement so harsh cos its Vicki? I believe it is

  3. It is rather doubtful that the Real Housewives franchise is the reason Viki's "Family" has fallen apart.. Viki is a business woman & unfortunately when a successful businessperson of any gender is married to, Humm how can I put it kindly? OK, a loser but a nice guy loser..There will be problems.. Viki should have never gotten Married to begin with nor should she get married again. She is not a prize but come on, her taste in men sucks..

  4. The show "broke up" Vicki's family -- the thing she claims is the most important thing in her life -- and yet she signs up for another season. Does that make ANY sense at all? Is she waiting for the show to destroy her insurance biz too? It's painfully clear that there is something fundamentally wrong with her line of thinking. Although Vicki is not as malicious and hateful as Tamra, she is seriously ridiculous and unwatchable.
