Hard to criticize somebody who's volunteered to put his life on the line fighting for our country (and maybe Lydia's right when she said in her blog that she sensed something "bigger" might be going on with this guy about to leave for Afghanistan and all). But that's still no excuse for Ryan Culberson being a total jerk and bullying a 62-year-old woman, in his mother-in-law's house, for having the gall to get some rest and put her feet up on a couch. Of course, if he was really concerned about Vicki's well-being, he would've gotten up in Slade Smiley's face instead for all the low-down, verbal darts he's been throwing at her. But nah, I guess blowing up at Lydia McLaughlin's mother, Judy, seemed like a better idea. Bottom line, when Ryan gets back from Afghanistan, he needs to find his family a new place to live and Briana might wanna keep an extra eye out for this guy's temper. Plus, Ryan owes Judy an apology...really:

Ryan Culberson apparently took issue with Lydia McLaughlin’s flighty mama when he asked her to remove her feet from their brand new couch and Judy did not immediately comply. We didn’t see the fight, but we heard it! And we definitely saw the aftermath, in which Ryan confronted Judy at the party and told her to “Get the f**k out” of his house. Eeesh.
Lydia addressed the confrontation in her blog, saying that it was “super hard for me to watch that scene unfold.” And that even though she wasn’t in the room with her mom, her brother and sister-in-law were, “and they left right after because they couldn't believe what they saw.”
The newest OC housewife also said, “I was so traumatized and in tears because I felt responsible for my mom. I invited her to have a wonderful night with my new friends. I know that drama seems to follow everyone, but I didn't think it would involve my mother. I left her alone for two minutes only to find that she was being verbally assaulted and getting kicked out.”
And although Lydia doesn’t blame Briana for standing by her husband, she believes her mom was unfairly treated. Still, she’s “proud that my mom remained so calm when Ryan was yelling profanities at her.”
Lydia also reminded viewers that “There are three sides to every story — yours, mine, and the truth. It seems to me Ryan was way out of line no matter what side of the story. Watching his face, so full of anger, and the way he is talking about my mom is disturbing.”
It did seem to come out of left field! We’ve seen Ryan get tough with Vicki before, but we’ve never seen him completely lose his temper and scream obscenities at her. Maybe the constant camera surveillance is getting to him?
Oh well. We hope Lydia’s mom recovers quickly. Maybe she just needs a good, long session of meditation and some extra sprinklings of fairy dust.
Jerk I don't care what the reason he felt he was in right...she was guest in Vicki's home not his. Brianna you know how all the fans dislike Brook...your husband is in his category!

Just finishing watching the season finale and I am so disgusted with Ryan's behavior. Both Brianna and Ryan owe Lydia's mother an apology. If this was my partner, I would be extremely embarrassed. He is very disrespectful and it makes me wonder how he will treat civilians in Afghanistan as he has clearly demonstrated that he does not know how to treat people with respect. I don't care if he is serving the US army, he needs to learn to treat people with respect and kindness. His actions were very disturbing. Brianna, watch out! He is very angry and very controlling. Gees, who controls their mother-in-law like that. Something is seriously wrong with him! If that was my son-in-law, he would have been on the streets that night after treating my guests, and my brother the way he did.

I have anger issues and abusive tendencies, so let me join the military so I can kill and beat the shit out of people and have it be okay. His behavior was disgusting and concerning, if I were Vicki, my motherly instincts would kick in immediately after seeing that and encourage my daughter to get out while she still can. The longer an individual stays with an abusive person, the more the controlling aspect takes over and the harder it is to escape.

so disappointed in Briana. How could she defend him? He lied and said Judy swore at him, not true. She asked him to stop cursing. Judy is the nicest person and stayed calm when he flipped out on her. He could have asked her politely to take her feet down. He is a bully and Vicki and Briana live in fear of him. I thought it was funny when he yelled "I own-l live here!" The most important and bigggest step for an abuser is to make sure he takes over and controls an environment, mainly by making sure HE and He alone is the reigning male in the home and lives of those he wishes to control.
