Gretchen Rossi Plugs Makeup Line in TurboTax Ad

“Since when did you become a tax guru?” asked Real Housewife of Orange County, Gretchen Rossi, of a fellow actress during her spot on a recent Turbo Tax commercial. The ad aired during the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, prompting “Housewives” fans everywhere to wonder the same of the reality show star herself.


Rossi is best-known not for her financial acumen, but for her former engagement to the late Jeff Beitzel. During her tenure on the Bravo TV series, speculation abounded around the authenticity of her love for the ailing millionaire. Though Rossi insisted that her relationship with the much older man was heartfelt, she found herself in the midst of cheating controversies prior to Beitzel’s death.


According to TMZ, Rossi inherited $2.5 million from Beitzel, which makes her Turbo Tax gig all the more puzzling. Yet, the biggest head-scratcher in conjunction with the ad is Rossi’s plug for her own cosmetic line: “Try this shade from my Gretchen Christine collection,” the star coos at the beginning of the commercial. “It’s called Coral Heaven. It just screams ‘hottest housewife in the OC’.”
