Envious of Melissa Gorga’s style? Now there’s no need to be.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 36, is opening an upscale clothing boutique, envy by Melissa Gorga, in Montclair, N.J., in November.
"Moving into apparel was a natural next step for me,” Gorga, who launched a jewelry line with HSN in 2014, tells Us Weekly exclusively. “Fashion and styling is something that I have always enjoyed.”
Gorga hand-selected the labels she will feature, including Elizabeth & James, Derek Lam, and Jay Godfrey. “Over the past several months I have been meeting with brands and visiting showrooms to pull together a mix of some of my favorite designers,” adds the Bravo star, who will also launch an e-commerce website by the end of the year.
The new business venture is a family affair. Melissa’s husband, Joe, 41, a developer, "is helping build out the interior to really bring my vision for the store to life with beautiful trim work, elegant lighting, and lots of textures,” says the mom of three. "I am designing the boutique to feel like you are stepping into a closet that's warm yet contemporary.”
The Gorgas can currently be seen on Bravo’s three-part special The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In, on Sundays at 8 p.m. On the miniseries, the Gorgas pitch in to help their in-laws, the Giudices, while Joe's sister, Teresa Giudice, is serving time in federal prison.
