The “Real Housewives of New York City” may live their lives in front of America but cast member LuAnn de Lesseps says she didn’t want to air all of her dirty laundry out on camera.
At the Bravo Upfront Presentation in New York City last week, FOX411 caught up with de Lesseps, who famously went through a divorce from her husband last season.
“I don’t think you have to show everything that goes on in your personal life,” she said. “There is such a thing as discretion, and even on ‘Housewives,’ you can have discretion and only show the part of yourself that you want people to see …”
LuAnn de Lesseps’ husband left her last year for an Ethiopian princess, reportedly telling her via email that he was seeing 37-year-old Kemeria Abajobir Abajifar.
“I didn’t drag our viewers into the divorce,” de Lesseps said. “It’s not something I would want to have on the show, can you imagine for the kids?”
