It will be a bittersweet Thanksgiving for Jill and Bobby Zarin this year. As the former “Real Housewives of New York City” star revealed Monday, her husband’s thyroid cancer has returned.
“He’s getting the best care,” a tearful Zarin told E! News at the Angel Ball in New York. “We have a great team … He had thyroid cancer that spread to the lungs but it’s all going to be good.”
Bobby, 70, was first diagnosed in June 2009. While he had his thyroid removed and underwent radioactive iodine treatment, doctors found the cancer had spread to his lungs during a checkup at the Princeton Longevity Center in 2015.
Jill, 52, added she’ll continue to stand by her spouse’s side through this trying time.“You have to live to live because we want to be here to raise money for cancer research,” the reality star shared. “We want to live our lives to the fullest … We don’t want to miss anything while Bobby’s healthy and strong and we’re just going to fight it.”
Though Bobby’s cancer has spread to his brain, the Zarin Fabrics founder is expected to undergo gamma radiation treatment in Houston next week.
