Tamra Barney is locked in an EPIC custody battle with her ex-husband Simon Barney, who has accused the Real Housewives of Orange County star of neglecting their young children. But is there a domestic violence secret behind the pair’s drawn-out, knock ‘em dead court fight?A new report claims Simon was arrested for domestic violence almost 10 years ago after an incident which left Bravolebrity Tamra with injuries so extensive that she “had black eyes and a busted lip.”As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the Real Housewives of Orange County star’s husband was arrested in 2010 on domestic violence charges.This apparently wasn’t Simon’s first brush with the law, however: As Radar previously reported, Tamra’s eldest son Ryan Vieth recently wrote about an incident on his Facebook page.“I was 11 years old the first time Simon beat my Mom up and was arrested,” Vieth wrote on April 18.According to a new report on blog All Things Real Housewives, Tamra was left bloodied and bruised after allegedly being assaulted.“She was hit so hard that she had black eyes and a busted lip,” a source told the website.The incident was said to have taken place in 1997 but after the arrest, Tamara, like many victims of domestic violence, “refused to press charges on Simon,” a knowledgeable insider said.Today, a “devastated” Tamra — who has remarried — is fighting for custody of the three minor children she shares with Simon.“The divorce was hard enough on them,” she said in a recent interview.
Ummmmm...doing the math in my head, 1997 was 17 years ago, not 10. I don't think they were even married back then. So why would she marry a dude that beat her? For security?
ReplyDeleteSome stay because they think that guy is the best they can get. Especially if it's happened in past relationships. They also think the guy will change. The guy makes promises and woo's the woman.

It sucks for their kids to have to hear this. My parents were in a 4yr custody battle and thankfully only my dad did mud slinging and my mum told her friends not to speak ill of my dad in front of us to protect my brothers and I but that was still devastating on us. I can't imagine the pain tamra and simons kids are going through seeing both parents go at it.
Sure Tamra is a bitch, but NO ONE deserves a beating like that.
ReplyDeleteTamra is a pro at leaving out details that make her look bad. She must have done something bat-shit crazy in order to get whooped like that. I know I should feel sorry for her, but she's such a giant asshole, that, I don't.
DeleteFYI Tamras so Ryan is an idiot. He went to school with my kids and he was one of those Kids in that classroom! That explains a lot about him. The kid had issues since young always in trouble didnt get along with anyone.
