A Tearful Jill Zarin to Andy Cohen: “Why Was I Fired?”

Hey, any person who saw how nasty, lying, vengeful and disgusting "Team Jill" behaved themselves on 'RHONY' reunion season 4, knows damn well why Bravo had to get rid of them (except Luann, who somewhat brilliantly saved herself from getting fired by taking the middle road). Still, seeing Jill here finally own up to getting "fired" (instead of lamely pulling the "I quit" card as she did for months) not only is surprising, but should make you feel a little sympathetic considering well all know how much she loved being on the show:
The Real Housewives of New York fans will have the pleasure of seeing former star Jill Zarin face off with Bravo exec Andy Cohen in a special appearance on Watch What Happens Live on October 15. But why is Jill’s interview pre-taped for a live show?

When a fan saw the preview below for Jill’s WWHL appearance, they asked Jill how that was possible. In the wee hours of October 9, Jill tweeted, “Filmed it today,” meaning October 8.

Jill was removed from the RHONY cast after Season 4, along with co-stars Alex McCord, Cindy Barshop, and Kelly Bensimon, and no definitive reason was given for Bravo’s re-casting. Aviva Drescher, Heather Thomson, and Carole Radziwill were added for Season 5.

In the preview of Jill’s interview, Jill compares getting fired to “a death,” and says it felt like “my funeral.” Andy will apparently ask her if she pays for her Twitter followers, and if she thinks one of the new castmates was brought on “to replace” her. Juicy stuff!

The last time we can remember any of the Housewives doing pre-taped interviews with Andy Cohen for WWHL was back in August, when Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice gave individual interviews after their tabloid wars in Season 4.

The general idea back then was that there would be too much shouting (ha!) back and forth if they filmed a confrontation live. Is it possible that Andy pre-taped his interview with Jill for the same reason?

When one of Jill’s fans tweeted at her, “Did @bravoandy give you an actual concrete answer for firing you?” Jill tweeted, “U tell me after watching, we’ll TAWK.” That’s awfully coy, and seems to suggest that Andy will be wishy-washy with his answers.

  1. Of course she was comparing getting fired to a death because being on the show was her whole world and her big accomplishment.
She makes me sick. I hope Andy tells her she was fired because the viewers hated her and because she had become such a behind the scenes diva, i.e. demanding more money from Bravo, telling cast members not to film with Bethenny.
She's a mean, ruthless, jealous, had. The end.

  2. She was insufferable on the show and she's insufferable not on the show. I say good riddance to kicking her off. There are too many other crazy middle aged rich ladies wandering New York waiting to get a taste of the reality TV spot and Jill Zarin needs to sail of into the sunset gracefully. Oh and "Shut Up Jill Zarin."

  3. I liked Jill season 1, and after that I thought she was mean. I'm glad she's not on the show anymore, but will someone explain to me the basis for all the hate towards her? EVERY single blog/comment board I read people just don't like her and think she's annoying, the have genuine hate for her.
I'd love to hear people's feelings on why, so if you read this and feel like explaining, please leave a comment!

  4. Miss Miss Miss Jill Zarin. ; (

She's the only one who has the wits for holding
    Ramina's Feat To The Fire!

She's fun, witty, honestly spoken, and huge heart
    underneath it all.

Hurt, to have watched her heartbreak over Bethany...
Truth is she wasn't given the opportunity forgiveness a true friend allows for. Somewhat, as though she'd been used and ridden than done with.

The show has never been the same joy after she left

  5. Jill is so beyond full of herself. The best thing Bravo ever did was fire her.

  6. Give it up Jill! The people have spoken. LuMann should have been thrown off too. She has no morals. I hope she gets tested for STDs regularly. Aviva's father is disgusting. He is not a housewife. Why is he on???? He is lewd, abusive and abrasive. How much is he being paid to spout filthy sexual statements. Talk about " WHITE TRASH". Unload the ho LuMan, long overdue . Nutty Kelly Bensimone and backstabbing Jill think they are huge stars. Jill is still trying to CONTROL the show and Andy Cohen. Buzz off Jill!

  7. It could be a memorable moment if Andy would give Jill a straight forward and honest answer to the why she was fired question, too bad he won't.

  8. Come on she knows why she got let go! She wanted it to be the Jill Zarin show and everyone needed to kiss her ring! She made so much drama out of the stupidest thing. & Luann used to just stir up do much crap. They both acted like the were above the others. I really think Kelly was too crazy to notice!!!!! Aviiva may be a diva & a major pain in the ass but the episode with her & that little boy getting his legs made me cry & hope that vivs does more stuff like that!

  9. She thinks the world revolves around her and she made herself look even more ridiculous by going on WWHL. Jill-move on. We all did right after the reunion. Leave Bravo and Andy alone.
