Carole Radziwill Guests on Russ Irwin’s Song ‘Manhattan’

NYDailyNews.com:
Before you catch "The Real Housewives of NYC" Monday night, watch this. Here's an exclusive look at the video for singer/songwriter and Aerosmith touring keyboardist Russ Irwin's new song "Manhattan," which features “RHONYC” cast member Carole Radziwill.

Irwin and Radziwill dated during the taping of the season that is currently running on Bravo, and the musician, who has a recurring role on the show, tells us that "Carole and I say that 'Manhattan' is our song because we're both bi-coastal and both long for New York when we're in L.A." And, says Irwin, "I always think of her when I think of New York."

The song (but not the video) will be played on Monday night's episode of "Real Housewives," but listeners who 'd like to hear it more than once can find "Manhattan" on Irwin's new album, "Get Me Home," which is available on iTunes.

Irwin calls the album a "retro modern piano record that takes a lot from the blues" and "is in the style of an old Elton John, Stevie Wonder or Billy Joel record."

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler sings on two tracks on the album, "I Miss Being Lonely" and "Crazy Too."

"The first song is about a guy I know who had a really serious drug and alcohol problem. It's about watching his life go down in flames," Irwin says, adding: "When Steven heard the song, it seemed like he could really relate to it."

Irwin, who has written songs for Foreigner, Meatloaf and Scorpions, and toured with Sting, Bryan Adams and Duncan Sheik, says "Too Crazy" was inspired by the late, great rock genius Frank Zappa, and is about "someone cheating on you, lying about it and then trying to convince you that you're crazy." We hate when that happens.

The Long Island native will return to his home turf on July 1 when Aerosmith plays the Nassau Coliseum.

"My whole family will be there: My mother, my father, my brother, his wife and his kids," Irwin says.
It will be interesting to see if Radziwill attends the show. Although Irwin declined to discuss the status of his relationship with the housewife, we hear that they're no longer dating but remain close friends.
