Boston Herald Interviews Bethenny Frankel

BostonHerald.com:
When it comes to reality TV, many of its stars can turn their “character” off and on like a light switch — and Bethenny Frankel is no different. But shouldn’t one be “on” for a chat with the press?

Frankel, a refugee from “The Real Housewives of New York” and now the star of “Bethenny Ever After,” wasn’t cracking one-liners when we interviewed her prior to her show in Worcester the other night.

Currently in the second season of her Bravo reality show, Frankel — a witty, brutally honest person on TV with her fun repartee and heart-to-heart convos with her hubby and therapist — wasn’t the same when we tried to engage her about the two years she spent at Boston University before transferring to NYU.

“I was a waitress at The Paradise,” Frankel told the Track.

Ooooooookay.

But before long, she found herself fascinated by the food industry.

“I was engaged and went to culinary school for something to do,” said Bethenny. “I never had a grand plan.”

Now married to Jason Hoppy and mom to baby daughter Bryn, the reality TV star says she is happiest in the present day. If she could go back in time and give advice to herself at age 25, Bethenny said, “Really don’t be so stressed out. Youth is really wasted on the young. Have a skin-care plan.”
