Kathy Wakile Not Happy With Kids Being Involved in Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga Feud

Wetpaint.com:
While the Season 5 premiere of Real Housewives of New Jersey may not have been one of the more dramatic episodes this season, castmate Kathy Wakile saw something that just didn’t sit right with her.

Melissa Gorga and Kathy’s cousin Teresa Giudice may have let the world know about their issues with each other, but Kathy felt it was completely inappropriate for their children to know that the grown ups were feuding

Joe Giudice, Teresa’s husband, openly called Melissa “horsey face” to his daughter Milania while the little girl and her mother were on their way to a playdate with Melissa and her daughter Antonia. Even worse, Teresa had her daughter Gia send Melissa a text message when she didn’t know what to say. Kathy was not happy about it.

“I can only speak from how it made me feel and how those situations have arose in my own family unit,” Kathy tells RadarOnline exclusively. “We’ll totally stress to my kids, ‘This has nothing to do with you. Do you understand? Nothing to do with you.’”

Kathy went on to say that she makes sure that her kids (Victoria, 18, and Joseph, 16) know to respect their family members.

’You need to respect your aunt and uncle. You need to treat them well. If they’re good to you, you’re good to them,’” Kathy says.

Kathy also added that it’s important to emphasize that the parents’ feelings shouldn’t ever cloud the kids’ judgement and when the adults have problems, it’s to be between the adults — the kids should never have to fight their battles.

’I’m a big girl; I can handle myself,’” she says. “’Daddy’s a big boy; He can handle himself. You don’t need to fight our battles or you don’t need to come in and feel like you need to speak for me.’
