Kandi Burruss Gets Her Own Bravo Show, 'The Kandi Factory'

Billboard.com:
Kandi Burruss is willing to see if her success with making a hit out of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast mate Kim Zolciak's single, "Tardy For The Party," can be replicated and Bravo's cameras will be there to capture the whole process.

The network announced Thursday that it has given a green light to a new special called "The Kandi Factory."

"With her breakout personality and straightforward attitude, Bravo fans have grown to love Kandi on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,'" Bravo's VP of Development Eli Lehrer says. "'The Kandi Factory' will capture a unique look at her successful music career as Kandi transforms two music hopefuls into the next big pop star."

Apparently, pop star hopefuls have been bombarding Burruss for help in launching their musical careers. On the special, the Grammy-winning housewife will choose two performers who will come to Atlanta and learn the basics for music stardom from Burruss and her team.

Burruss is a singer/songwriter and producer who won a Grammy for her work on the TLC hit, "No Scrubs." She's also a former member of the platinum-selling girl group, Xscape.

True Entertainment will produce The Kandi Factory with executive producers Steven Weinstock, Glenda Hersh, Mark Ford and Kevin Lopez.

While no airdate was given for the special, Burruss returns with the fourth season of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' on Nov. 6.
