Whether you liked Alex and Simon or didn't, you had to know that being on RHONYC meant the world to them. No surprise then that they'd want so desperately for Bravo to change their mind and bring them back:

She was rejected.Kind of ironic too that they'd get fired when you consider that Alex and Simon were always out in front supporting all the liberal causes that Bravo likes to push. But I'm sure that with all the reality TV shows out there, we won't be seeing the last of the McCords.
Despite issuing a statement last week that made it appear as if she were totally cool with being let go from The Real Housewives of New York City, sources confirm that Alex McCord went to producers over the weekend and asked for her job back.
They said no.
"Bravo doesn't want to cut the relationship, Alex and [husband Simon van Kempen] are nice people, but as for the show and them they are done," an insider tells E! News. "They will be asked to make guest appearances on other Bravo shows, perhaps as judges, or in guest spots - expect to see them in one form or another. They don't want to burn a bridge."
The McCords were making $275,000 per season and will now need to find a new platform on which to plug their new line of Egyptian cotton sheets and towels, Aluxe Home. Our heart goes out to them.

I will miss the McCords; they were my favorites. I like the fact she defended Ramona, stood up for herself and had to deal with the god-awful Cuntessa LuAnn, expert on Klass and Kulture and a real piece of scum.

ReplyDeletefirst of all they were broke. They never hosted a party outside their house in Brooklyn AND they were extremely boring and awkward.
nobody believes that Alex is a model. She is the ugliest nyc housewife and don't even ,et me get into Simon's music career. All and all EMBARRASSING!
They were pretty nice and down to Earth. Who cares where they hosted parties, their home was beautiful. I hope Alex gets a call for future things before Jill does, Jill is just too nasty and classless!

Simon is entertaining, he's not just a Bobby who writes the checks, he is a real husband and comrade to his wife. They will be missed by everyone in America with a brain.

ReplyDeleteI lovd the two of them. I can see Alex being a model. She has the bone structure and the figure for it. Please do not say people are ugly. That in itself is an ugly statement. I am sorry that she was bullied by the countess and by Jill. The countes has little class and it really showed in the last season. Hope to see them both back on tv.
