A lot has been said about the housewives' trip to South Africa, and in her latest blog for BravoTV.com, Cynthia Bailey is offering her final, concise, perspective.RELATED: Cynthia Bailey Doesn’t Care What Kim Zolciak Thinks About Her
She writes, “At times it was kind of like walking through a land mine, and if you didn't watch your step, you could be blasted at any time!”
“Anything and everything you said was blown out of proportion, everything was a big deal (even when it wasn't), and there was ‘shade’ around every corner."
Granted, that’s pretty much how things went down, but it wasn’t anything drastically different from how the ladies behave in Atlanta.
Still, Cynthia knows to place emphasis of what’s most important. “The drama was inevitable on a trip like this. It was just a matter of time. Overall, drama or not, it was still the trip of a lifetime.”
Since Cynthia and Peter are very close to NeNe Leakes and her family, Cynthia also had her own opinion on Brice’s arrest. She writes, “As a mother myself, if my child committed a small, stupid, low-level crime and ended up in jail, I would want to teach them a lesson for sure.”
Yet, Cynthia also acknowledges where Peter was coming from when he gave NeNe advice.
“However, I would never want my child in a situation that could be dangerous or even fatal. I would worry myself to death,” she continues.
As for her one-year anniversary party with Peter, Cynthia insists the couple stayed within their budget. “We are not working with a Diddy budget or anything, but we can definitely afford to have a nice little gathering with our friends and family.”
“Yes! There will be plenty of food and drinks, but I'm not sure if synchronized swimming mermaids in the pool will be in the budget,” she assures readers.
