"Real Housewives" star Tamra Barney and about 300 VIP guests sipped watermelon jalapeno margaritas and minty mojitos at the grand opening of Casa Ranchero Sunday.
"It looks great and they did an amazing job," said Barney, a Ladera resident who stars in "The Real Housewives of Orange County."
The Bravo TV reality show filmed Barney and a group of her friends at the new Mexican cantina Sunday. Last week, the show also taped at Lonnie and Claire Shepard's restaurant Infusion next door.
"It's good to be recognized as an Orange County hot spot," said Claire Shepard of Aliso Viejo. Shepard said she was "thrilled" about the opening in the Mercantile West shopping center. "We are very excited about it and is surely looking forward to show everyone our new Mexican restaurant," she said.
Casa Ranchero opened to the public Tuesday.
