Bravo Denies 'Real Housewives Of Detroit' Rumor
Bravo has already infiltrated Orange County, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta and Washington, D.C. documenting each city's rich and famous "Real Housewives," Today on Twitter, many people are speculating that the series' next destination will be Detroit.
The speculation comes from a party being held this Friday at Elsyium Lounge in Detroit.
Shawn Davis, an employee of the club, told us that Bravo would be hosting an informal casting call for the franchise's next installment in Motown.
But a spokesperson for Bravo denied the existence of such a show.
"Bravo is not currently in production on a Detroit series of 'Real Housewives,'" the spokesperson said over the phone this afternoon.
This rumor is kind of funny because...ummm, Detroit?!? Nothing against the Motor City, but I could think of at least 20 cities that deserve a show before Detroit does.
Um Detroit (the city) yes, does have a bad reputation, but many don't know that the suburbs house the 2nd richest county in the United States...(not sure if it's still 2nd, but the rich are in the burbs)
ReplyDeleteSpecifically Oakland county. I think as of 2010, it's moved down to the low-30's due to lots of auto executive job losses.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of money in the 'burbs, but not that much. These women live those lives, though. I work with the 'real housewives of oakland county' every day, and I'll be the first to tell you that they're all just as catty and narcissistic as they are in any other city, regardless of how much their husbands make. I get to see it in real life- everyday- and I'd probably still watch it if it were on TV when I get home from work.

Yes bravo must don't have an clue but Oakland county Michigan is hot it sexy real it's pure and for sure high off wealth give these ladies a shot they really want it

There is real money in Detroit as well as crime just as every other city and state for that matter. Ratings are all that matter, not who "deserves a show". Why not place the wealthy Detroiter's on the idiot box? I guarantee there will be season after season of drama fulfillment!

Fortunately... BRAVO isnt the only network and to the wack ass representative that sarcasticly eliminated "motor City Wives" before it was even presented, the wives that you elected to represent couldn't touch a MOTOR CITY WIFE if that wanted to. The swag is way out of your league Sweety because the women that were hand-picked to be a Motor City Wife has style, grace, beauty, class, prominence in their community and the ability to be a success without the notariety of their husbands.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think Detroit is a great place for Bravo to come and shoot the next series of The Real Housewives of ...! And for the record RHO Detroit, premiers next spring, so stay tuned! Also, I do think that it's important to be a Wife, because of the nature of the show and how it was originally presented. But I also believe, if that's what you want to do, it shouldn't be based on how much money your husband has, but on the difference you as a women are making in the community and or city that is being featured! So to post a comment about your husband being a millionaire and how well you live and where you live, is pointless. Detroiter's stand up, NOT NOVI, OAKLAND COUNTY OR ANY OF THE OTHER SUBURBS. Apparently you really don't care to much for the city of Detroit otherwise you'd live there. Toodles

I am one of the MOTOR CITY WIVES- Oakland County was 2nd riches area in U.S not to long ago..Detriot Is Making a come back(Motor city)....Cant wait to show you what the suburbs of Detriot look like- there serious Money here(OAKLAND COUNTY IS WHERE I LIVE) There are a least 6 lakes within a mile apart that have mansions any where from 10- 30 thousand square feet alll around me...Dont forget the Automotive,celebrites(Artist)Kid Rock/ Eninem, Karmano,Iltish(Red wings/Tigers, Homedic,Celeni Wines,and So many more...
