TVWatch.com:
This was definitely the best episode of this season of The Real Housewives of New York City so far!
So much drama! I was totally sucked into it and couldn’t believe the show was over so quick! I can’t wait for next week (although, spoiler alert, I think Bethenny is pregnant).
It started with our mom-to-be walking across the Brooklyn Bridge with Ramona, who went on the attack right away. Ramona called Bethenny a “press monger” and said that she was “self-serving” and that she had no friends and would probably mess up her relationship with Jason. Wow. I’ll give her points for in-your-face honesty, but that was pretty brutal. I will say, though, that with your close friends, you can tell it like it is, apologize if you cross the line — like Ramona did — and then you’re fine. Even though Bethenny was crying, by the end of the walk, they had made up and moved on. I thought that was the best example of a true friendship I’ve seen all season.
I don’t care who you are, where you live, if you’re on TV or not, you’re gonna get into disagreements with your friends and family. To pretend like you never argue with anyone is so fake. The show is real. People fight. But usually, especially if you’re good friends with a long history, you make up.
Which brings us back (again, again, again!) to Jill and Bethenny. For the love of all that is holy, the two of them need to get over it already! I cannot believe we have watched this simmer for six weeks. I cannot believe they still hate each other so badly (their blog comments about each other on bravotv.com are not very nice).
This is a terrific recap of last night's episode and I wholeheartedly agree 100%. Bethenny has tried again and again to make up with Jill and enough enough's already: Jill needs to seriously get over herself, put her stupid pride aside and forgive Bethenny already. What makes Jill look even worse here is that she kept the drama going even after finding out about Bethenny's dad being sick. And yes LuAnn has replaced Kelly as the most annoying and just-hate-her-guts housewife on RHONY. Going all drama-queen and getting in the middle of Jill and Bethenny's sit-down (btw, good job by Ramona to set that up and yes Jill's a hypocrite for getting mad at Ramona because she the same, exact thing last season with Bethenny and Kelly) was just stupid and completely self-serving. If anyone needs to 'get a life' (much less a real friend) it's LuAnn. Either way, if I was Bethenny I'd just be done with Jill--I mean how much rejection can she take? Like Ramona said last year, Jill only likes you when you're the "underdog" and she's clearly moved on LuAnn--a sick puppy who needs all the help that she can get--any wonder the Count cheated on that snobby bitch?
