Phaedra Parks Announces That She's Having Another Boy

“I will be having another little boy!”  Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks, 40, gushes in a new interview. Apollo Nida and Phaedra are expecting to welcome the baby by a C-section procedure at the end of May.


This will be the lawyer’s second boy. Her firstborn, Ayden, 2, has been so excited about the arrival of his future brother! “He’s such a great helper,” Phaedra continues telling In Touch, “He’ll be a wonderful little brother because he likes to help and he’s so smart.”

Phaedra tells In Touch that she has been having difficulties with this pregnancy. “Doctors have diagnosed me with placenta previa, which means I need to be careful this time around because I can’t have a vaginal birth,” said Phaedra.

According to BabyCenter.com, placenta previa is when the placenta is lying unusually low in the mother’s uterus. Bleeding can occur if the placenta is still close to the cervix later in pregnancy, which can lead to an early delivery. When you have placenta previa, you must have C-section.

“I would entertain a third child, but I would have to guarantee that it was a little girl. I think that would be plenty after that,” said Phaedra. “I’m just super excited for this baby to get here!”

In December, Phaedra told PEOPLE about her pregnancy. She revealed a lovely photo of her on the beach in a one-piece bathing suit, flaunting her baby bump. Phaedra admitted to In Touch that the couple was hoping for a girl, but they are so happy to welcome another boy to their family.
