On Sunday night, fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta watched with bated breath as foes Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks sat down in hopes of achieving a truce from the scandalous accusations that were thrown in the season-five reunion show. Rumors were addressed, halfhearted apologies were issued, and curt smiles were exchanged—but don't expect to see these two ladies braiding each other's hair at a sleepover any time soon.
Phaedra exclusively tells E! News that things are currently "cordial" with Kenya, however she still thinks it was wildly inappropriate for her costar to offer her husband a "Monica Lewinsky" and constantly text him and personally persue him. The mother of two tells us the Kenya came on to her husband, Apollo Nida, while at a California festival for professionals in the workout industry. "He called me immediately. It was frightening to him. Frankly, it was shocking to both of us that she would even make such a proposition," she reveals.
Many fans have been wondering since this sexing scandal happened months ago, why did Phaedra wait so long to confront Kenya? Phaedra has a totally reasonable response: She was pregnant! "At the end of the day, when I'm pregnant, I always make sure to stay as tranquil as possible because whatever goes into my spirit goes into my baby's spirit as well."
The RHOA star continues, "I didn't address it then because it wasn't appropriate for me or my health or my sanity or my baby. I definitely said I'd address it at the appropriate time and we touched on it at the reunion, but obviously now, several months later, we're addressing it again."
Despite her truce talk with Kenya in Sunday night's episode, Phaedra says that she still does not know why her fellow Housewife was trying to come on to her hubby. "I have no idea because I'm not a psychiatrist, unfortunately. All of us have our own morals and ethics and codes of conduct. And hers is just a little different than mine. Make that very different from mine."
So could these two fierce females ever become friend again? Phaedra spills, "I hope to be cordial with Kenya. Look, I'm mature enough to be in a room with anyone. And at the end of the day, because of the show, we will obviously have to be around each other, so I would like things to be cordial. Now, I'm not saying we're going to be best friends. I don't see that happening. Ever."
